Works great on M2 MBP. Just can't tune the MTU to use jumbo frames.
I get very near the published speed with my M2 MacBook Pro, out of the box, no configuration. For the price, nothing else competes that I can see. My only complaint is that the Realtek driver that comes with macOS does not allow you to select jumbo frame MTU sizes. Realtek has not published an updated driver for macOS in some time. The only one available is blocked because of code signing issues (assuming age-related), but I must assume it would have the same problem as the one from Apple appears to be newer (time-stamp). I'll happily deal with the packet fragmentation for cheap, almost 5gE speeds. Probably need something with a Marvell or Intel or Broadcom chip to get better functionality and more up-to-date drivers.

Solid 5Gbps adapter
I have been using this for two months with MacBook Air (M1) connected to a Unifi USW Flex XG 10Gbps switch. I'm running over a mix of Cat 6 and Cat 5e that is buried in my walls. Performance is as expected, 4.5 to 4.7 Gbps to a VM on Proxmox (iPerf3). Solid construction but larger than your typical USB / Ethernet adapter probably to accommodate thermal design as it does run warm. Only down side is no indicator lights which makes a very clean "Apple-like" design, but I miss the reassurance that status lights provide.

Works great on Windows 10.
Works great on Windows 10. Just had to manually install the Realtek driver. It's decently performant, I got ~500MB/s to the local NAS, which is on a 10Gb link, but I think there is some switch overhead that suck some of the expected performance, but it's ~5x faster than the old 1Gb link I was using, which only gave me ~100MB/s to the NAS.to get the driver, I just googled "realtek" and whatever the chip is this thing uses. I wish it was an Intel, but that's just me being a computer nerd, and knowing Intel ethernet chips are better chips in general, and better supported.

Not for older Apple computers, especially not Intel processors.
Nice product, however, it doesn't work for older Apple computers, especially if you have one with an Intel processor. It only works with the newer Operating Systems that have the right drivers. Too bad Apple is so weird on not providing 3rd party drivers.

No better
I am a pretty big fan of Ugreen (I own their 8 bay nas) but this was a big disappointment. I was using something similar to bring ethernet network (and internet) to a laptop which did not have a RJ45 port. My speeds were poor enough that I decided to replace that with this.I saw no increase is speeds (despite this being usb C and the addition of 5gb up/down internet) and my Mac book (M2) didn't even acknowledge it.It works. I see the lights flashing but offers no performance increase.

Very reliable.
Great product! Fast and reliable. The build quality looks excellent. Setup was quick and straightforward. I connected it to my 5Gbps network and iMac 24”. Blazing speed and rock-solid stability.

Good Buy
Great adapter, my only complaint with it would be that it doesn’t have status lights on it. Other than that, it easily gets 2.5 GBPs speeds.

Will Keep But Not Recommended
Experiencing problems with auto negotiation on 2.5Gb link. Could be a problem with the driver, particularly with Windows 10/11
