We really like these toothbrushes
We really like these toothbrushes. I had been buying the charcoal bristled brushes made by Colgate, but wanted to try out a biodegradable variety. I don't use charcoal bristles for whitening or anything - i like that the bristles are soft enough to brush my gums as well as my teeth, but firm enough to still get all the plaque off.One word of advice - don't leave the handles where they will be wet most of the time. They can start smelling funky, and i'm sure that these can't be sanitized as well as plastic-handled toothbrushes. For the cost and environmental tradeoffs, that drawback is worth it to me.

NOT FIRM, VERY SMALL HEAD & END GETS MOLDY!
SHORT VERSION:This is NOT FIRM or MEDIUM as advertised, it is softer than the soft toothbrush my dentist gave me and since most toothbrushes sit in a cup or a fancy decorative toothbrush thing, then end gets moldy.LONG VERSION:I ordered this since they advertised that it was NOT a soft bristle, but firm/medium. This toothbrush was made with unicorn hair.... super soft and just silly. Years ago, once I started using firm toothbrushes (properly), I have only light plaque at each 6 months dental cleaning and have not had any cavities. When I received them, I noticed the head is NOT ADULT, I don't care WHAT these other reviewers say and they had to have been paid off because I have a small mouth and this size was just stupid. I was willing to try it and as I used it, it was like the unicorn hair got softer and softer! I compared it to my firm toothbrush it was replacing and I am sorry, no comparison. I like CLEAN teeth which is obtained in a SHORT time with a firm brush. If I wanted to spend 2 minutes brushing my teeth I would just use the toothbrush the dentist gave me!I was going to go to the .99 store and get more but I saw the BAMBOO handle and thought, wow that is earth friendly! Well, mold is earthy too so if you still want these soft bristled brushes for infant's teeth, make sure you HANG them and do not set them in a cup where the mold will grow from the water that drips down.

Honestly these kind of gross me out how they feel but I am trying to be more environmentally friendly. They work fine but are harder to keep looking clean. I kept my plastic brush and reach for that instead.

Great swap for plastic toothbrushes.
I am starting my plastic free, zero waste life style and I am replacing each item as it nears the time to be thrown out. I love these! Very well made and the shape is comfortable to hold. The bristles appear securely placed so I don't think I will have issues with them falling out.

Soft, gentle bristles
If you want a hard brush that makes your gums bleed, this is not the brush for you. I love it. Also, if you can't stand putting your teeth on a popsicle stick, you won't like a wooden toothbrush but I take that as a given.

Made in China by a Chinese company for sure
What called my attention when I received this box of toothbrushes were the many spelling mistakes on the box. Regardless, I went on to try the toothbrushes. First of all, the company claims that these have "extra soft bristles green material," but these are not soft at all and the material of the bristles feels like plastic. Nevertheless, I insisted on using them because I understand that there should be a period of adjustment for new toothbrushes. My trials haven't been successful. My gums are sore and when I brush, I have to be very careful not to get hurt further. In addition, the bristles keep getting lose and falling off. I'd say the handle is too large and thick for my average hands and the only advantage I see on its format is the angled head that helps reach back teeth. In summary, these are in general awful toothbrushes and one of the worst I've ever had.

Although it met my expectations, others in the household were not as enthusiastic.
I liked them because I am concerned about the overabundance of plastics in our environment and these use less; the handles are bamboo. The brush works fine for me, but others who tried them (you get four of them) complained that the bristles were too firm or too large to fit in their mouths. They also did not like the feel of the handle as it felt like they were putting a stick in their mouths and it caused them to gag while brushing the back teeth. They preferred the feel of the plastic brushes and the different bristle sizes and softness they offer. Some consideration should be given these preferences by the manufacturer if possible. The black charcoal bristles look peculiar, but not a concern.

Super hard bristles make gums bleed
The item description as well as reviews speak of soft bristles, which is complete bogus. These are the hardest unflexible bristles I’ve ever had. Making my gums bleed. And that again makes me wonder about the authencity of some of the reviews on this product. If you prefer soft bristles, I recommend choosing something else. I was using the bamboo brushes from LaBoos before this one and they have super soft bristles.
