There are 2 main concerns when purchasing something that attaches to a bike, will it survive the weather and how easily can it be stolen. Thankfully this particular product excels on both parts.The first thing you’ll notice is the design, I have owned a few similar navigation type devices before and they are usually made from plastic. This one however has a sturdy metal casing that feels like it could survive a few drops or someone trying to pry it off. One of the unique selling points of this one is the compatibility with BMW navigation base plate. However there is also a universal mount kit included for use on any bike. All of the connecting mount pieces are made from metal,with a U shaped mount and ball & socket arm. Aside from the metal casing, all of the ports & wires are waterproof and there is a shade cover on the top edge, the mounting bracket also serves as a heat sync drawing heat out from the units processor. Overall I am very impressed with the design.In use the unit also performed well. I was able to pair the unit to a Bluetooth headset then my iPhone to the unit itself. There isn’t a lot of options on the device as it’s all controlled by CarPlay but everything works as expected. This is a Linux based system which seems to work better than the android based firmware. I have made several short journeys to work and back and a couple of 50 ish round trips and my phone stayed connected throughout for both sat nav and Spotify. Calls also came through clear and messages are announced as they arrive.At the time of review this item is priced at £209 and currently offering a 5% discount voucher. Quite a lot of thought has gone into the design and security and the included BMW bracket makes this great value for money.

Great devices if you have BMW bike, all the great features to get you to where you need and you can hook It all up to have your music and phien calls come through hands free.

Really good and very little fuss to fit as it has the necessary clip and connectors.Easy to use, a little more expensive than the equivalent for a car but still very good value.

Arrived well packaged and of better quality than expected give another recent purchase of a similar car-based product which was less satisfactory.Important: Not tested directly on a BMW R1200GS/R1250GS/S1000XR. Custom backplate removed.The handlebar clamp is substantial and heavy and seems of good quality. Connects comfortably on 7/8 and 1 inch bars (tested on VMax 1200 and Vulcan Meanstreak 1500).Power either by USB or 12v fused (supplied) feed.Connected seamlessly to Samsung S22 Ultra and integrated with Android Auto well. It displayed music left/maps right by default for me.Note that it doesn't have a full Android system installed (it doesn't state that it does) so you can't install additional Android apps directly on the device.Bad point: At the time of writing I had not successfully connected the device for audio on external speakers. When I try to connect via Bluetooth it says I can't because I'm already connected to phone for Android Auto connection. This MAY be human error and I will continue to look into this. However, if I cannot get it to work then it makes the device pretty useless. Maybe the audio is connected out via connection to the phone not the device. I will come back with an update.Overall, assuming I can get over my issue, this is a nice little device which is easy enough to remove and has good waterproof connectors which just twist together/apart by hand. As with similar devices will not be secure if left on bike and anyone could just come along and remove it.

My dad absolutely loves this, the ease of it to use for him is great. Its obviously took him some time to learn it but he got it pretty quick. Connected to phone well and makes it easy to see on display. Its overal a fantastic quick product that works so well. 10/10

I ordered this to replace my current Sat Nav which is fast becoming out of date. I was a little wary having tried similar Android Auto systems before and found them to be unreliable/glitchy.However this is a very different system. not only is the build quality excellent, the software is easy to set up and has been 100% stable over the past two weeks of use.It is supplied with BMW mount, but this can be removed and the unit can be used with any bike. I did email the manufacturer to see if there was an option to change the mounts for a screen mount for use in a car too. As yet have not received a reply.I first connected to my phone via Bluetooth, and thats really all you need to do to use the navigation system up and running.Then connected my Bluetooth audio, and I was able to use voice navigation. You can connected two Bluetooth headsets.It includes other entertainment features, but I am not really interested in those, although I may well be glad of them in the future.What I like:Fast, stable and simple to use interfaceVery high build quality.full metal bike mount kitclear screen with good viewing angle.What I did not likeScreen is a little on the small side.Would be useful to also have a screen mount so we can use both on the bike or in the car.
