Windows and Linux compatibility on the cheap

Works perfect! Nicgiga is a good brand, card runs fine without direct airflow on it. It's priced right and works under windows and linux without issue.

Seems to work well

Works under Fedora 42. But I had to swap out my cable to get it to negotiate to 10 Gbe

Great little NIC

The media could not be loaded. No fuss with windows 11. Installed the card and it just works. Purchased the 2.5gb model and speeds are as advertised. I also like the black finish since I have a black case and motherboard. Very inexpensive card. I can’t speak to the longevity of the product since I haven’t had it that long.

NO DRIVER USB INCLUDED!

Description along with AI in "Ask A Question" stated that it comes with A usb with the correct drivers needed. Not TRUE! Had to scan the QR code on the metal bracket of card to be taken to the Marvell website then sort out all the drivers available and hope that I grabbed the right one. The card does work well but I took off 2 star because Description and AI's answer about the USB was incorrect. and another 1 star because the driver is in 2 zipped folders with all kinds of stuff in them that make it so confusing and is listed under "Marvell_AQtion_x64_Win_ver3.1.10.0_signed" Nothing anywhere or in any folders was named "Marvell AQC113" Which is what would be common sense name to use so you know it's the correct driver for the card. Good Luck!EDIT:Removed leftover stars because the card stopped working 3 Days later, The card vanished from my PC! It's still connected where I originally placed it however, windows 11 pro will not recognize it! I spent about 3 hours troubleshooting it trying everything, different slot, uninstalling and reinstalling via OS and physically reloading drivers, everything that I could try all to no avail. This card that was working fine 3 days ago is just not recognized in my PC/OS anymore. I have now returned it for a full refund! Time to look for another brand... Meanwhile what a waste of time!

Exelent option for old MacBook dual-booting to Linux and MacOS 10.3

I have an old MacBook Pro laptop dual booting to Kubuntu 24.04 and MacOS 10.3. I wanted to enable a 10G Ethernet connection to my nas. I already had a Thunderbolt to PCIe external case so I was in the look for a PCIe card that would work with boot operating systems. Fortunately I found very quickly that Marvell AQC107 was supported in Windows, Linux and (not so new) MacOS releases.I found that the card in question had an old firmware, so I installed it in my Windows PC and updated it using the flash program that I downloaded from the Marvell site. I played with the card on Windows 10 and it was fast and stable. With the updated firmware, I installed the card in the Thunderbolt PCIe case and booted into Linux. Everything was recognized and it worked as expected. Then I rebooted into MacOS and voilà, MacOS was accessing the nas at 10G :-)Very happy with the card.

It's a Little inconsistent

Out of the box this was not running at the 2.5Gb speeds (even though Windows reported it as running 2.5Gb) it was staying around 900mb with iperf3 test between 2 other machines on network that both have 2.5Gb NICs.Using the QNAP 2.5Gbe unmanaged switch for 3 PCs that all have 2.5Gbe NICs. They are segmented on their own VLAN coming from pfsense firewall appliance which also has 2.5Gbe.After updating the drivers from the Realtek site as per the pamphlet that came in the box along with a small form factor screw driver and 2 screws (using case screw to match black aesthetic) and the 2 I/O plates, then it unlocked the full menu in the interface's controller properties. Also was getting closer to the 2.5Gb speeds on local network, RDP feels smoother and stable connections without drops. There is some irregularity in the iperf3 tests though. Not getting the irregularities from 3rd PC to main PC so not sure if it's driver related or just an issue with the Realtek chipset of this card.Overall though satisfied with the price to performance and hope there will be future driver updates, not counting on it though. For what I need it to do, be a stable RDP connection it seems to be holding strong and helps not feel laggy like it did with the default 1Gb port on the X370 Taichi Mobo. This is an improvement. If you do want a blacked out PCB and the bright green LED isn't visible while doing work then this is a good 2.5Gbe card. Also make sure you get the latest driver from Realtek, out of the box is not fully unlocked.Happy packets :)
