Works well, usb c is faster
Works well...reads wellDidn't use it to write yet. Just took lossless backup of audio CDs into flac.Hibymusic plays them on my op12. Can use usb dac and iem to hear them

Ultra thin external dvd RW drive
Very good performance, 8x speed dvd writer.Only one problem there is no brand name! Unbranded item but very nice quality & reliable price and good performance.Anyone can buy honestly.

Defective product
Tried over multiple laptops, but it didn't read th CDs.Was causing scratches on the disk as well.Would strongly recommend against buying this product.

Excellent External DVD Drive
Just what I needed. My New Acer PC has no DVD or CD drive and no provisions for one. So this fit the bill. Worked right out of the box. No wrangling for drivers or contentious setup. True plug-and-play.

Does the job.
This one at least has a disc removal hole for those wacky discs that don’t want to eject. The last drive I bought failed with the first disc.

Worked great—-for two days! Then failed
Description exaggerated. PC burning software had to be purchased. No free burning software was found—-even those recommended in manual. Mac burning SW included in Mac. Initially, played DVDs fine on both ThinkPad and Mac Air. After purchasing SW (“any DVD”) for ThinkPad, worked fine for a few days. Worked with Mac fine until failed. However, even the included discs never did work. Beautiful looking and handy carrying case. Speed as advertised while it worked. I returned for replacement. Hope replacement works as this is reasonably priced and very convenient size. I’ll follow up when replacement arrives.
