I love this book
I'm almost finished with the book, it's super easy to read and I live it! The author makes you feel like your in the book and can feel and think what the characters can think! All I want to do is finish the book it's really good. There are some spelling errors every couple of chapters, but life happens! If your thinking about getting, it's a nice book at a low price, id get it! I don't have a favorite character but they all have some kind of connection that just makes it pure

I loved the women and their lives, hopes, dreams , and how they coped. I haven’t read Debbie Macomber for many years , but I think I will be reading more. This was such a heartwarming story, with a little love thrown in. A perfect balance! Enjoy‼️❤️❤️

I think this is Debbie Macomber at her best! The four main characters were different from each other but were realistic women whom you would like to have as friends. Each one changed and grew as the book developed. The idea of each one's expressing her thoughts and recording events from her point of view by writing in a journal helps the reader to identify with each character. Combining that technique with using some third person narration helped move the story line along, and it all worked beautifully. This is the story of four women from diverse backgrounds and of different ages who meet in a class where they develop skills in journal writing, become friends and want to continue meeting on a regular basis. Consequently, Every Thursday at eight AM they meet for breakfast. Each woman's story is different, each is fascinating, and the reader will be rooting for each person as she faces her challenges just as the women in the book do for each other. It's a heartwarming book filled with love, joy, sorrow and romance. Another great read by Debbie Macomber!

Wonderful writer
I love the author's style of writing. However, the ones I recently got from Amazon have an odor and I can't read them. The smell is like home heating oil mixed with a vicks vapor rub type cleaning product. Readers need to know this because a book should be enjoyed and smell like a book.

Loved it
I always love all of Debbie's books. This one pulled me in. It was a tear jerking, heartwarming story. I can totally relate to Michael's ending. My mom was ill a few months ago with the same illness. Good book. Debbie always gets 5 stars 🌟

an "every-woman" story.........
Thursdays at Eight is an enchanting story about four very different women who have reached a critical point in their lives, a point where decisions made or not made will result in life altering changes with no return trip.At first I thought this would be a nice warm, fuzzy read but after finishing the story I realized it is really a story about all people, that we all face stunning challenges at different points in our lives. This tale portrays the importance of friendship and family and the ability to discern what is truly important and what is merely desire. I enjoyed this book far more than I thought I would, and after finishing it and thinking about it, I felt that it nudges you to examine your own life and the choices we all make. The four women range in age from their twenties to early fifties. Their marital status, married, divorced, single and widowed, some have children, some do not. The amazing thing is that they could almost be combined into an "every-woman" and this is what draws the reader into their lives and their decisions that they reach as they meet for breakfast each Thursday morning to discuss their week.

A good read
A well written account of a year in the lives of four strong women. Each has problems but gradually they come to terms with the difficulties that they face. The book is written as a mixture of the diary entries of the characters and the more usual account of the actual events. This works well, giving the reader more insight into the feelings and fears of the women. It all worked out satisfactory, perhaps a bit predictable, but an enthralling read.

Very well written sweet romance book!
“Expecting life to treat you well because you are a good person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian.” 4 women meet for breakfast every Thursday and help each other to navigate divorce, widowhood, or life in general. Very well written sweet romance book that I will recommend to all romance lovers!

Standard Macomber - OK but nothing exciting
This is a usual Debie Macomber novel - 4 women with different problems, who find a solution in the end. The characters are moderately developed, but some of the developments are not plausible, for instance the lightning quick change of attitude of Julia's kids. A nice read but not more.
