DDW36C CABLE MODEM WIRELESS ROUTER GATEWAY TWC ONLY

This unit works GREAT! Had a little bumpy experience with the Cable Company at first (Spectrum). Called them for setup, telling them I was replacing my current modem with this one. They said they couldn't 'see it on their end'. While on hold I held down the reset button on back for 20 seconds and when the agent came back to the line we were good. The unit works great. Both the hard wired devices and ones on wi fi are getting a strong signal in the house from one end to the other, no dropouts, resets, nothing! Great experience, great price! I'm a very satisfied customer!

Replaced thew Time-Warner Ubee modem and my Belkin wi-Wi Router with this one unit. Even though not a Time-Warner supplied unit, their tech support was great in helping me get it set up properly, by renaming the connection ID and password. Works great. Use it with my laptop, smart phones and tablet at the same time, no problems. Great unit. Always had good results with UBEE hardware.

The modem part is great. Wifi is just average.The biggest thing I don't like Ubee is, individual users can not upgrade to the latest firmware. Ubee needs Cable company to do the upgrade.

Works great, arrived quickly and happy I don't have to pay the cable company for their crappy box.

Unfortunately, I had to return this unit. When connected to the Time Warner network, the firmware is automatically replaced. This change shut off most of the features that attracted me to this product, especially the MOCA capabilities. I attempted several reboots and you can access the settings for a short period of time, but ultimately the Time Warner firmware takes over and removes much of the unique capabilities built into this unit. Your experience may differ with different Cable/Internet providers.

We have 50 Mbps Time Warner service in NYC, and this is listed as one of Time Warner's supported modems. It's been working flawlessly for 2½ months now. We get full speed on both its 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz access points.The 5 GHz access point is perfect in our apartment for avoiding interference with our many neighbors' WiFi. The 2.4 GHz has great range: we can reach our WiFi from 50 feet outside our apartment.

After about 9 months, I started having trouble with this modem. It would get super hot and I would have to unplug it. Didn't work right after that.

Wouldn't work for wireless to internet, and wrong MAC address on bottom. Would connect wired, and wireless from computer to router, but no internet. Had to return it. I would not recommend buying one, as the cable tech said that these are remotely controlled by them, and can be disabled without your knowledge or ability to enable.
