Very good product, not fancy with any fans or LCD displays but it works great and the price was affordable. Just a simple Enclosure making it reliable because of no fancy features to malfunction. Best thing is it has a real power switch and not a electronic one so when it's turned off it's turned off and no command can be sent to it to turn back on so a virus or rouge program can't wipe out what is on the drive if the power switch is in the off position. It has a real tiny multi colored light on it for activity that can only be seen if you are looking straight above it but at least you can still tell when there is activity on the drive unlike Seagate External Drives that have that light that pulses when it's idle and is supposed to blink faster when there is activity on the drive.I had it on for over 10 hours backing up and recovering the partition on my Laptop SSD and it Never got hot, just warm. The only bad thing about it is it comes with a non standard USB connection cable but it's great that the power cable is a standard cable no Wallwart because the power supply is built into the Enclosure.

Seems to work fine for both 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives. One problem is that for a Seagate 3.5 inch drive, the cover does not completely close. It's off by about 1mm. Fits for WD drive though. Can get quite hot, since no ventilation and ask plastic.

This works so perfectly and so is easy to use. Swapping out a hard drive takes less than 10 seconds. No joke. It's that simple. Additionally, it has an automatic backup feature included. This is completed by simply pressing a button on top of the enclosure... that's it. I had a bunch of old hard drives to go through, without this enclosure it would have been a pain in the kazoo, with the enclosure I simply open the case, slide in the Hard drive plug into power and connect to an open USB port on my computer (this is usb 3.0) and presto... there it is.. Grab what I need by copying to hard drive installed inside computer, format the hard drive in the enclosure and repeat with all my drives that had old pictures or files I wanted to save on them. Great investment and better than the one I bought a year ago and paid triple this amount for..

This Case has all the features I waas looking for. It is well-made, sturdy. Cover slides off easily and hard drive slips in properly. Immediately recognized and transfers data quickly and accurately. Mechanical power on/off switch. If you leave the cover off it functions as a flat bed adapter - drives are easily slipped on and off. If you want to use it as a permanent device a locking screw is located on the bottom.

I wish I'd ordered the Sabrent enclosure now. This one works, but isn't as well made, and to top it off, it arrived missing one of its rubber feet, and it was nowhere in the box (or I would have glued it back on myself). I would recommend choosing the Sabrent with the 'hinged' lid, to anyone needing a 3.5" USB 3.0 enclosure.

Good enclosure, durable. does tend to get bit hot when used for a while.
