This item worked fine for about two weeks, being used about 3-4 hours a day. Then, after being on for about 10 minutes, there was a loud buzz and pop and the lights went out. I unplugged it quickly and realized the large box part was burning to the touch. This happened a few days ago, so I have not yet purchased a replacement (which I will find locally this time) to see if it has damaged the LED lights that it was supporting. Very disappointed in this product, glad I was home and it didn't start a fire.

4/5 i thought it was something different then it was. But it was mt fault for my confusion. Fyi, this is a in house wall pluggin that changes voltage from house to 5amp was supposed to connect for aled light system for a car..... i made it work by cutting the ends and connecting my own way. But not all would have the ability to do that.

These things are cheap. I'm not sure if this power supply is the culprit or the remote control unit for LED lights (also very cheap) but my lights will stop working until I unplug this from the outlet and let them sit for awhile (few hours at least). Never unplug this from the remote control unit while plugged into AC. Big zap and a dead remote receiver.

It works with RGB 300 LED strands but can't handle white at full brightness. The LED's will shut off and on repeatedly. I had to lower the brightness to make it work.

Do exactly what it's ment to do, nice long cord, good quality

These things are crap - just like the ones I got in the LED light kit, these work sporadically if at all and then eventually die completely. Pathetic... can't even drive a small 16' strip of LEDs and a micro-controller. I really want to have these LED lights in my room but every power supply and micro-controller seems like it is dispensed from a bubble gum machine. WTF.

Works perfect and was here fast.
