EDGE 4K Ultra HD / 1080P HD Action Camera with LCD View-finder built-in Wi-Fi + Free ISAW Viewer II App

Like many people considering buying an action camera I faced the GoPro or clone dilemma. I spent a lot of time on YouTube watching side by side videos of various clones set against an equivalent GoPro. In every case the GoPro was vastly superior. Then I came across the ISAW Edge. The side by side comparisons helped me make my decision to go with ISAW. In every comparison I watched the ISAW had better image clarity and sharpness. Some commentators felt the GoPro produced better colour but I still felt the ISAW won here too. Then, of course, there is price. The ISAW is considerably cheaper and you get a load of accessories to help you mount your camera.Having now used the ISAW I am more than happy with my decision. I am astounded by the image quality. In one practice shoot I did on a clear and bright day the image quality was breathtaking. I normally use a DSLR for video but it gets nowhere near the ISAW in terms of the wow factor you get with the ISAW Edge. The image quality really is quite special.Learning how to use the camera doesn't take that long. All the functions and controls are accessed by just 3 buttons and you very quickly learn how to navigate the menu system. You have a considerable degree of control over your video and stills shooting:- sharpness, exposure, ISO, AE metering, white balance and a selection of colour filters are all easily accessed and varied depending upon your requirements. You also have options for time lapse and burst shooting.With the ISAW you get an accessories pack thrown in. This allows you to mount your camera in a variety of ways - helmet, tripod, windscreen and dashboard. There is no mount for bike handlebars, however but that is a minor gripe considering what is included. Another minor issue I have experienced is with the memory card slot. I have had some difficulty in getting my memory card to stay in place. Sometimes I have found that the card moves resulting in it no longer making contact with the terminals. You get a warning message on screen telling you that there is "No SD Card". I don't think it is a huge issue. In any case, when the camera is contained within either of its housings the card seems to be held securely because the fit is so snug.Overall, I have been blown away by how good this tiny, little camera is. It weighs next to nothing and comes with a load of extras - including a free app to control the camera from your phone. The image quality has vastly exceeded my expectations and I am really looking forward to using it for a long time to come.

Downloadable app for this camera doesn't exist!!! What makes it pretty useless! Don't buy!

I was going to buy another one of these as they were £150 - this was more than they were originally.Let's be clear, this is much closer to a GoPro Hero 3+ than a GoPro hero 4, 5, or even session.At £150 they're good value (price sunday morning) sunday night they went up to £172, (not worth buying at that price) monday morning they went up to over £200!!At that price you're better off with almost anything else, they're no longer any kind of value for money.

Pretty impressed with the camera itself, and think it's great for the price would be 5 star easily and i would buy it over a GoPro any day if it wasn't for one thing which is the IOS app barely works which is really irritating as this is a key feature for me and is almost making me consider switching to a GoPro you constantly get strange chinese error messages, photos seem to be fine and you can quite easily download them to your phone but videos are so glitchy they barely ever play correctly they either just make my phone disconnect or wont play, recording from your phone doesn't seem to work either and ive missed a few great shots because the app has failed on me.

All round good bit of kit, cheaper than the Gopro but appears to be just as good. The Phone apps to run it need some more development but work ok, Android is fine but couldn't get it to work with ipad & iphone. Switching modes and stuff is a bit fiddly trying to remember which one does what but once you've got its fine.

As far as the camera itself goes - it's great. The picture quality is good, the interface is easy enough to use. I didn't use the Wifi app because I preferred to save battery. The casing is waterproof, it fits all the usual GoPro accessories and the camera itself was cheaper.The reason I've given it 2/5 is I accidentally scratched the lens (yes, stupid but it happens), then I've tried multiple times to contact ISAW to see if I can get a replacement lens fitted or pay for the part itself or literally anything that can be done to fix it. Also the battery casing tab broke, and there's something inside the casing rattling around... Not what you expect from an action cam. They didn't even respond. 0 customer support and now I have a camera that is all functional except for a massive out of focus splodge on all the footage and photos it takes.... So for that reason be VERY wary of buying from companies like this. It may not save you money in the long run, and I like to have at least a reply when I contact a company...

Great little action camera works really well just need support in the app for iPhone 6 and all will be sorted ! I took it on my honeymoon and the footage is excellent, used it for the pool , paddle-boarding etc very happy with the camera.

Just got this, great camera, but the app (with latest firmware and latest app and latest IOS) is very poor and unstable. I have contacted isaw via e,ail and awaiting a response to bug fixes. I want to give this five stars, but the app crashes too much and requires me sometimes to pull the battery out to be able to turn it off! I can't transfer data from the edge to iPad! Can we get a response from the company to fix?
