Azuni's "Muraco" open, circular, wave hoop earrings are an ode to the moon - a significant pillar of Native American worship. Fusing Miyuki beads with Swarovski crystals, the earrings present a contemporary take on ancient craftpersonship. In a predominant colour palette of cream and bronze, the earrings are for pierced ears and have a 22kt gold plated stud fastening. They are also socially responsible treasures as they have been hand crafted by Azuni's co-operative of Mayan artisans. Dimensions: drop: 5.5cm; width (at widest point): 4cm. Azuni of London's founder and creative designer, Ashley Marshall, did not take a traditional route into jewellery design. He started his career as a chef, working in some of London's most prestigious kitchens including The Ivy, The Dorchester and La Caprice. Ashley decided to take his talent for combining flavours and ingredients to creating jewellery. His unique approach to design developed during his extensive travels to South America and his studies at Sir John Cass Jewellery and Silversmithing University in London. Ashley's confidence and flair for experimenting with unusual textures and stones has created the most breathtaking results.
