Great Bluetooth device for THIS professional driver.
In my book, for a device to be considered a “Trucker” Bluetooth, it has to meet certain criteria: A commercial driver can be behind the wheel for up to 11 hours a day and the device must last at least that long. A truck cab is a very noisy environment so the device must have a noise reduction/cancellation feature to allow the person you are talking to the ability to hear you. And finally, it must be loud enough for the driver to hear a conversation over the noise of the truck. BlueParrott has a range of devices that accomplish this and provide many additional useful features, including the C400-XT.I recently purchased a C400-XT headset as a replacement to a B350-XT unit that stopped working after being flung across the cab when I hit a large pothole with my truck. Both devices are made by BlueParrott/VXi. I was interested in the C400-XT initially because of the options of wearing the device. I am required to wear PPE for my job, including a hardhat. The largest drawback to the B350-XT was that I would have to thread the headband through the hardhat to continue to use the Bluetooth which was less than ideal. The speaker would often either not sit properly over my ear or it would put too much pressure on my earlobe. The C400-XT has an optional over-ear neckband which allows me to put on and take off a hardhat without removing the device. The device comes with neck bands for wearing the device on either ear and also comes with a removable multi-direction headband. Though the C400-XT is lighter than the B350-XT, it is still a large bluetooth and adds some stress to my earlobes that I am still adjusting to. Because it is lighter, I have found that the headband is considerably more comfortable than the B350- and I can wear it for hours without much discomfort.Talk time is impressive with a reported 24 hours. It can go for several days on standby. However, there is a microUSB cable and a car adapter (no wall charger) should you run out of juice.I use the C400-XT paired with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Android smartphone. The manufacturer claims this can be paired to two separate phones simultaneously, and be paired to up to 8 different devices, but I haven’t tried it yet. The bluetooth device has 4 buttons: 2 rubber volume buttons, a larger rubber power button, and a smooth plastic BlueParrott button which can be assigned a special function. By default, the BP button will mute the call but I prefer to assign the button to call my dispatcher when pressed. In addition, the power button can be assigned, via Android, to a phone operation. I have mine set to launch the Google app Assistant. HINT: Under the Google app setting, check the box allowing you to use voice commands from bluetooth. (Settings → Google → Search →Voice, check box or slider for “Bluetooth headset” to allow “Records audio through bluetooth headset if available”). In addition, the BlueParrott app (available from the Google Play Store) will allow you to have text messages read aloud to you when they come in, take voice notes and even talk with others through a virtual walkie-talkie service (must be logged on). I like hearing the text messages, then using the Google Assistant to compose and send replies. I don’t touch my phone and I don’t need to take my attention away from the road.A new feature that the B350 did not have was voice announce. When a call is received, the phone will ring as usual but the headset will announce the caller. You can then say “answer” or “ignore” to be instantly connected or pass the caller to voicemail. Of course, you can still press the power button on the headset to answer calls as well. Another thing, there is a rubber cover for the charge port to help prevent water infiltration while using the headset outdoors which seems to support the manufactures claim of “weather resistant”, implying the device is resistant to moisture from rain or snow as well as temps down to -20 F.There are only a few things that I'm not happy with. First, the device speaker is smaller than on other models which seems to reduce the sound quality. Granted, this is also part of why the headset is so comfortable to wear, so… Second, the neckband could be more comfortable. Though it is made of a soft-touch plastic, there is no padding or soft silicon to wrap over the earlobe that other high-end BT device manufactures have incorporated (Plantronics Voyager series comes to mind). Also the neckband has no adjustment whatsoever which adds to the discomfort (does one size really fit all?) and I find that the band will sometimes rub or catch on higher collars (i.e. my uniform shirt and jacket). The manufacturer claims to have a device range of up to 300ft but most cell phones do not support this feature and I’ve found the range to be limited to about 60 ft from the phone. NOTE: This headset should support Class 1 bluetooth devices such as certain laptops and powered desk phones which would allow approximately 300ft of range, but I have not personally experienced this yet. Finally, the wired earbuds that came with this purchase work, but they are designed to work with Apple products and therefore any features other than basic earbud functionality do not work with my Android device. They sound good, though. All in all, I love it and highly recommend this and other BlueParrot devices.

Works well even wiht noise in the room. Noise cancelling works well.
I have tried many headsets trying to find the right one for my business. I spend a lot of time on the phone with either clients or insurance companies. It can get a little snug after a while so I move it around a bit, but I can still hear and they can hear me. No complaints about ability to have and hold a conversation. I can use it on my Right or left ear. I tend to process information better when the ear piece is on my left ear so that was a nice added feature. Buttons are placed well so you don't hang up on someone accidentally. The only issue I have is charging port on the headset is covered with a little rubber or silicone cover and it does not close flush but protrudes a bit even if you push it in real good.

Won't buy again!!!
Hard to hear on sometimes and hurt the ear if you leave it on to long.

Poor quality charger, high quality sound.
This is the second time I have had this in the last 9 months, and both times the charging port has given out. It recedes into the plastic body so it will no longer connect to the cord.

Love this headset!
It's advertised to have a range of 300 feet, and I lose connection after about 30 feet. Other than that- I love the functionality of the head piece.

Very poor quality
This is the second one I have bought both of them them the plug in the headset has broken to the point that you can’t charge it. Have been using Blueparrot headsets for years and I’m very disappointed with this model.
