Got this for my senior neighbor friend who is about as Low-tech as can be imagined. In my own average tech-skilled existence, using this phone is a piece of cake. For my old-timer friend, it's a bit daunting. I'm giving the full 5 stars for this device being a perfectly good cordless home phone. However, for very low-techy bros - I'm fresh out of suggestions because in this day and age - this phone is about as "straight-ahead" -phone- as it gets.

Nice phone . I use it in my bedroom. I set it up even without looking at the directions . Compact and clear. Will buy another one for my basement.

bought this for my grandpa because it was a good price. the voice quality isnt too good. its very light weight.can change brightness levels on it. it was some what difficult to read on it for a elderly person. so if you are looking for a phone for a elderly person look elsewhere. its a good phone overall functions great

Huge amounts of feedback trying to record the greeting made it nearly impossible to understand. With enough standing at various distances and orientations I finally managed to get something that was (barely) acceptable. The symbols on the play button are molded in but not painted which makes them very hard to read - both other people in my household had to ask me where the play button was. The cord connecting the base unit to the wall is integral which means that when your cat bites through it you can't simply replace it with one of the dozen other cords you've got sitting around collecting dust. I tried splicing it back together with no luck so I opened up the unit and discovered that the wires on the inside are completely insulated and can freely contact each other - no wonder it has so many problems.
