Coffee Substitute, helped me lower blood pressure
When you need to cut down on caffeine, or save some money, this could be the answer. Worldwide Botanicals Organic French Chicory (roasted) has the lovely, familiar roasted taste of coffee. It was a good substitute to lower my caffeine. I had bladder troubles with decaf coffee, but no troubles with full strength coffee or chicory. This is what I did. I normally used about 1/2 cup+ of coffee grounds for 14 cups of brewed coffee. I started by removing one teaspoon of coffee grounds and substituted it with 1/2 teaspoon of the Organic French Chicory before the brewing. The chicory brews darker than coffee. The next time I brewed the coffee, I removed 2 teaspoons of coffee and replaced it with 1 teaspoon of chicory before brewing. I did this for about a week before slowly reducing the coffee grounds further. This is what I did to lower my caffeine.Since chicory has a stronger taste, less of it is needed. That is why it saved money for me. Saving money was a unexpected delight.A few months later, I use 1/4 Cup chicory and 1 Tablespoon of coffee for 14 Cups of water. I sleep better and blood pressure is better. On those days, where I need more caffeine, I just add a little more coffee and less chicory. The chicory has a slightly sweet taste, but it brews much stronger than coffee. That is how it saved money for me.

BEST CHICKORY I'VE EVER HAD!
I make my coffee with half chickory and half organic beans. I was amazed at how smooth this brand tasted. I ran out and so bought a small amount of organic chickory at my local health store and it was very bitter and I got a headache and had to throw it out. Even though this brand is not organic, it has the same founder, Caroline MacDougall, who also founded Teecchino, so I believe it is good quality as it is grown in France.

Great with coffee
I add it in my French press with coffee. It gives a stronger taste of coffee and helps with digestion. I love it. I have been using it for more than 5 years and will continue to buy it.

good coffe option
If you want to get away from the use of coffee this is a good option. In our experience with this it seemed to take less to make a pot. still had a good flavor .

taste like coffee and can be brewed with a glass filter
If you don't put too much in brewing you can't tell it's not coffee. If you do, you'll notice a little taste sinilar to vinilla, not too bad to me. Best of all, you don't need a paper or stainless steel filter since when the grind is soaked it becomes bigger. I use a glass filter for tea which is very easy to clean and healthy.

Smooth flavor, buy the double or Amazon will likely damage in shipping
I like this product, but Amazon shipping kept smashing the single pouches open during shipping using soft envelopes (about 4 out of 10 orders). This is a 2 pack that is in a rigid cardboard and it arrived undamaged. So if you want this product, you need to order this or make sure you order enough other stuff so Amazon has to use a box.As to the product, I tried several other suppliers and this was the smoothest of them all. Nice flavor and is compatible with the coffee I brew with it in my automatic drip coffee maker. Love it!
