This is a nice countertop microwave. It’s easy to program and works well. It accommodates a 10” dinner plate and other similar sized dishes. The only minor negative is that does run a little louder than other microwaves that I’ve owned. I’m pleased with this purchase.

Easy to use, works perfectly. Compact, doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Nice, clean modern look. Modestly priced.

We invested in this black Sharp Carousel microwave because we had previously owned a much more primitive Sharp Carousel that served us well for 30+ years.I'm enjoying the many convenient features of this new unit. With well-laid-out instructions, it was easy to set up and is simple enough to use. It works really well. I'm pleased with it.The only detraction for me is, sitting on the counter top, it's not especially attractive. This model is intended to be a built-in, I think, so the esthetics are focused on its face. It isn't hideous looking–it's just OK.I would recommend this unit, especially as a built-in, but counter top use works, too.

Purchased this maybe under a month ago as a replacement for our slightly smaller unit that was almost 10 years old and finally overheated and broke.This one was a little bit bigger, which I like, so I can fit a full size plate in it without having to tilt as I was kind of restricted to the microwave shelf space in the kitchen.I like the black and silver type finish however, I do wish it had an actual handle so you don’t have to just push the button.This unit works a lot better than my old one and seems to heat things in around half the time so I would recommend when you first get it slightly undercook an experiment first until you get used to how long it takes.So far, so good!Definitely a nice unit at a reasonable price. Most importantly it fit the spot I was trying to fit it in, and it’s large enough that you can put a full size regular plate to reheat without having to tilt it.I also synchronized the clock to match the stove clock, so they’re both the same and change within a second apart.

Bought this one to replace a 1994 1100 watt model. It is essentially a modern update of that one though this one is only 1000W. However, I’ve been using the same time/power settings as before and I don’t really notice a difference. This one has an LED light vs incandescent as well as the child lock feature (can be disabled). Really like the grey interior. Very quiet compared to my old one! Recommend this for everyday use for a smaller family.

I replaced my perfectly good SMC1131CB with this SMC1161KB for the following reasons.A great improvement over the same size microwave SHARP SMC1131CB.PROS:The panel numbers are easier to read in subdued light. The older version was very difficult to read.The display is BRIGHT. Note-It can even be turned OFF by pressing the stop after cooking and the door is closed. An apparent undocumented feature I came across.Some function improvements:Two stage cooking.Unlike the old version power level can be changed at any time while cooking.Push the start button ONCE= 30 seconds. Each push after that adds 30 seconds. The old 30 second button is gone.Slightly larger carousel.Improved carousel ‘seating’. Previous version was difficult to put glass back in correctly.Consult user manual to see all the added and improved features. You will likely purchase this model.IFFY CON:The interior is dark grey. great to not ‘show’ splatters but it make viewing the food more difficult to see even though the light is on during cooking.

I've had a week and so far, so good. Has enough room, but a smaller size than my last Sharp. It fit perfectly into the space I had planned, and has some nice features. Happy with the price, have been a long, long time Sharp buyer, so glad I took a chance to order online.

Love it. (Not crazy about the automatic locking mechanism, as I don't have kids to worry about. You need to hit an unlock button when time is finished, before you can open the door. Not that it is a huge deal, I just find it a bit annoying. Still a great microwave and runs nice and quiet.
