Good value, works fine
No long term usage. Seems like a decent gauge set for the average user. Nice to have the case to keep everything clean and protected. Shipped free and quickly, and probably can't beat the quality for the price. Do note that the little adapter for the ACME treads doesn't work with some can tap valves for the self sealing cans. (ACPRO dv134 is one of those) The supplied tap valve is not exactly correct for these new cans, but it actually does work with them and the old cans too. Hoses use the nylon seals, work ok but do need to be really tight. Looks like the old neoprene seals will work for replacements (Yellow Jacket 19020 by Ritchie) if you wanted a better seal. Hoses with my kit were 47 inches overall length. Decent kit for the money.

Excellent for occasional user
I had been borrowing gauge sets from some auto parts stores. Half the time I was hooking up to 1/4" schrader valves and needed all kinds of adapters with the modern gauge sets. This set is old style and screws directly to 1/4" without the r134a adapters on the end (source of some bad reviews). One reviewer said not, but he either had the hoses on backwards or failed to back out the pin that depresses the schrader valve. This alone was worth $36 to have around. If treated gently I think it will last. If you are working on old r12 systems I highly suggest looking into Enviro-safe or other r12 replacements. I believe it to be a better fit and r134a is being demonized and discontinued now that the patents are expiring. Join the rest of the world, get away from corp/gov abuse.

It’s a decent set of gauges, they appear to be working fine, but the product itself could be a better quality. However, for the price, it works fine. I wish there was a valve on the manifold to bleed off the air in the refrigerant line. And the knobs felt a little cheap. But I imagine this set beats a harbor freight set any day of the week.

My particular gauge set had some issues, but the customer service is very good.
Maybe it's just my set, but there was something off with the couplers that came with this manifold set that are supposed to interface with the car's A/C system. They were stuck open, and I can't seem to pop them over the locking mechanism, so they didn't lock onto my car's lines very well. I managed to get the low pressure side on fine, but the high pressure side just won't lock in.I wasn't able to send the set back because I didn't actually attempt to use it for about a year after I bought it, so I figured I was just stuck with the defective set. After giving a low rating to the product in my review the person in charge of the product (Ixor Guylene) reached out to me about my review, apologizing and offering to refund me for my inconvenience. I said a refund via Amazon gift card would be fine. It was a little strange that they said they couldn't give me the gift cards until after I deleted my negative review, because I naturally was already going to edit my review to reflect their customer outreach, but I obliged, and have since received the refund. I do appreciate that they want to reach out to those who have had negative experiences with the product.

A good basic set of manifold gauges.
This is a basic set, with only the most basic of instructions. If you know what you are doing, but need to save money, this would work for you. Others will have to seek advice from a friend, a book, or the internet to feel comfortable using it. Remember that is illegal to discharge to the atmosphere any refrigerant gas, a/k/a R134a in modern cars, and R12 in older cars. The fittings in the kit are primarily for modern R134 fittings, the kind you are most likely to run into. Problems with A/C systems often involve leaks, which can come from bad or worn-out seals, improperly tightened hose connections (including the connections to and from these gauges), bad Schrader valves, bad seals at the low side or high side connections, leaks in hoses and in hose connectors to the rubber lines, leaks in the condenser (typically located in front of the vehicle radiator and leaks can occur from collision damage or road debris), etc. Each and every one of the connections in the A/C system needs to be tight (but don't twist them, test connections in pressurized systems with a brief spray of soapy water) but the connections to and from this manifold gauge set should be only hand tight, but not overly tight, to get accurate readings. Periodically visually inspect the seals in the manifold gauge hoses. Extra seals are included. Once connected properly, the gauges will read both high and low side pressures without opening any valve on the manifold, both of which should be closed when you first connect the hoses to the high and low ports on the vehicle.

Fittings look wrong but they work!
I was concerned like the reviewer mason who posted a picture that the fittings looked open but they are spring loaded and both seated fine and made a solid connection when pushed onto their respective ports. Best priced set of manifold gauges I was able to find with same day shipping. The connections don't have valves on them they are only at the manifold but it still worked great and the ends could always be replaced with ones that have valves later. Came with an r134a can tap too which is a plus.

Gauge for low side completely broke on 1st use
The gauge for the low side was reading incorrectly on the very 1st use, causing me to overcharge AC system. After I removed the gauge off the low side, the needle didn't settle at 0. I tried adjusting with a screw driver but the needle would just move left and right and refused to go to 0. (Not the I would use these again anyways)Poor QACaused damage to my car's ACLuckily the car was for my cheating EX ;)STAY AWAY!!!!!

Fantastic Value
I had to replace my AC Compressor and Condenser and used this to recharge the system. For the price of a DIY Oil Change, this gauge set is a great value for those of us who routinely service our own vehicles. The connections work easily without any leaks, as long as you tighten the adapters. Combine with a quality vacuum pump, and you can easily do your own AC maintenance and repair. The Adapter and valve for refrigerant worked wonderfully.

Good for occasional use
This manifold works as expected. It's not a 5 start item because it lacks a bunch of useful features, but it's overall good value for money. Combined with a Vacuum pump (sold separately) I was able to chase down my leak in my AC system on my vehicle.Hoses are all 1/4 SAER134a quick connects clicked on great and did not leak.Comes with a plastic carry caseExtra hose seals were includedCan tap is the piercing style, not the self sealing style. It fit my cans of R134a, and when I was done I left it on the part can and it seems to seal satisfactorily. To get 5 stars at least a few of the following items need to be enhanced or fixed. There's no way to purge the yellow line without backing off the connector and screwing it back on (wear gloves!)There's no where to hang the hoses when not in use.The case doesn't really have a positive lock on any of the components, so they tend to fall out of their spots as soon as you pick it up by the handle. When this was shipped to me, the case was simply thrown in a plastic mailer bag. When I received it the case had opened and the parts were loose in the bag. The knobs were also loose on the manifold valves. While I'm not dissatisfied since the tool does what it sets out to do, I only bought this one because it was available in Canada. If the border was open I probably would have driven 3 hours to the closest hazard fraught, theirs is cheaper even factoring conversion, and checks a bunch of the boxes above, and has 1000+ positive reviews.

does not come with seals
I ordered it because it had everything except for the seal that goes on the yellow hose for the tank.
