Powerful and Small. IMALENT MS12 MINI-C
The media could not be loaded. The new Imalent MS12 Mini C is the upgrade to the MS12 MINI that I’ve been using as my preferred camping flashlight for a number of years. The Mini C charges quickly using USB-C and also doubles as a powerful battery bank for charging my USB devices. This is a powerful flashlight with 65,000 lumens that can fit in my jacket pocket. With a beam distance of over a kilometer and multiple power levels, it’s a very versatile flashlight. It’s the brightest soda-can sized flashlight I own and powerful enough to light up a freight train at night for my videos (attached). I’ve always had great luck with the many IMALENT flashlights that I own, which include the powerful MS18, SR32 and IMALENT MS32 (world‘s most powerful production flashlight). The Detachable Handle provides a cool grip no matter how hot the flashlight gets and the internal fans kick in at the highest power levels for extra cooling. I use the handle to hang the flashlight from the dome of my tent. I like the lowest 50 lumen power setting that allows me to read at night without waking others. It’s also ideal for checking camera settings during nighttime photography without destroying my night vision. I think you’ll be happy with this flashlight!

Gets hot super quick but made my jaw drop after activating turbo
I was impressed how bright this flash light is but it does become into a portable hand warmer on turbo, the fans do help it cool down quick and does a good job at being bright, I use this when I make some food deliveries during the night and this is a good flash light, Would recommend but just know it gets super hot even I had to use my clothes as a glove to turn it off. It can last for a while but the fact it can last on moonlight for 96 hours I think or more. It is pricy but worth every penny.

While cooling off the glass cracks also The power button gets so hot. I’ve been burned by it.
!!UPDATE!!Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience Using this IMALENT MS12 Mini C. It doesn’t have no type of cooling capacity. The cooling fans are practically just for looks. Right behind the cooling fans It is blocked off. There is a mirror, maybe 1/8 of an inch gap between the cooling fan and a flat aluminum housing that sits behind it. It does not have no type of sink or no means of dissipating heat. I have been burned twice by the power button trying to turn the light off. One evening after using my light for two or three minutes on turbo mode I was inside at room temperature and I heard a mistakable sound of glass breaking. My heart son when I looked and realized that the glass lens on my $400 flashlight had cracked from the Intense heat! So far IMALENT Has been cooperating with a warranty claim, but what use do I have for a flashlight that one I can’t turn off without getting burned or using gloves and number two a $400 flashlight should not have these issues to begin with. I’ve only used my flashlight might be five or six times over a five week period. Yes, this light is Extremely bright, but if you lose the handle, you will not be able to carry this flashlight while it is in its brighter settings because of the immense heat. The heat travels All the way through the entirety of the battery compartment as well. This seems like it will either one cause the batteries to fail, prematurely, or, something worse, like an explosion from the batteries being exposed To high Temperatures. This light should withstand even water hitting the lens while it is being used in the turbo mode. But after the lens cracking while it is sitting at room temperature cooling down I really doubt the Glass lens would withstand rain hitting it while it is hot. And when I say, I have been burned by pressing the power button I burned a blister on my finger from the power button. I requested IMALENT Not to replace my light with the same model because the issues I have brought up in this end review and I have relayed to the company as well. If you these lights then You know that the MS18 model has a proper cooling system. Unlike the MS12, which just makes a lot of noise and do not move any air because there Is no way for the fans to pull air/heat from the light. And one more major thing, the power button on the Light is sticking as well, which really makes it hard to operate safely. I’m sure the power button is failing From being exposed to temperatures that exceeds the components ratings. All of these issues I have raised In my review from my bad experience with this model could be avoided if Imalent Would actually engineer This model of flashlight properly To demand such a very high price tag. I do not see why this light is so expensive. It practically has no cooling system. Which is needed when you are producing this much lumens. . I don’t even know why they put fans on these lights. They are only A fade given the user the impression that they are actually drawing heat away from the light. because of the stupid amount of heat That builds up in the flashlight.Wow what a bright bright bright durable flashlight. It charges fast with and provided 65 watt usb c charger, it performes amazingly for the compact size and the coating on the lights housing is hard to scratch. Just make sure you lock this bad boy while not using it and it’s not a light for kids. It’s the brightness of the sun. Literally!!! Poorly engineered product by Imalent
