For me, not worth it, but now I'm stuck with them
I ordered two 4-packs, eight lights total. They are used in two light fixtures where the bulbs are visible. Therefore, the bulb appearance needs to be similar. They are not a dimmer - a straight off/on single pole light switch. Within two weeks, one bulb after warming up would go off completely. This condition did not change. I considered returning the bad bulb for a replacement bulb, but realized that the cost to return the bulb was no different than replacing it with a new bulb. So ... it would have been 4 stars since 80 per cent of the bulbs worked. However, the fact that it costs just as much money to replace them through warranty makes no sense. Hence, 3 stars. Based on my experience, expect one out of eight to fail. I would not use them on a dimmer, because I would expect an even higher failure rate. Okay then ... I actually ordered four more of the same bulbs knowing this, but I figured it was less expensive than buying all new bulbs from a different manufacturer. Remember, they are visible in the fixture, so they need to be similar. Yes, I can be OCD.However ... I will not buy any of these bulbs in the future.

This one really works, for only 4 watt
This one is for my desk lamp to replace the dead 9w spiral CFL bulb (40w equiv.). This 4 watt LED light bulb is as bright as my dead 9w CFL (if not brighter), and my eyes are more comfortable with the color (3000k warm white) of the light it delivered, compared to the original CFL which is 2700k (a little bit more yellowish).I tried a few LED light bulbs before, for 40w equiv. they always asked for 6w or more, glad to see we saved another 2w on our bill. Perhaps the MCOB makes the difference? If this one works well in the coming weeks, I will definitely get more for the post lights around my house. They do have a 4-pack deal which I can save $1 more for each bulb.So far, satisifed with my purchase.

The four pack of awesomeness
These bulbs rock. I bought the four pack to see if I liked them. They arrived today, so I did a basic comparison. My ceiling fan powers four light bulbs. I swapped one of them out and bam! This little 4w LED bulb produced nice warm white light and outshined my 11w halogen bulb. Both bulbs are rated as a 40w replacement but the new light obviously produces more lumens. I wasn't expecting it to be so much better. I also like the look of the new bulb. When both bulbs are illuminated, you can see the interior halogen glass encasement but not so with the LED. The bulb is uniformly lit. It looks great.Out of curiosity, I tested against my incandescent bulbs in the bathroom (a classic 40w bulb - filament and all). Same result. This new bulb produced more lumens, still has the nice warm white look and just looks nicer. The uniform brightness across the entire glass is attractive. I tried to take a picture to show what I mean by uniform. Hope it helps. Taking a picture of lights turned out to be harder than I thought. This brand is definitely worth checking out. I'm ordering more of the 4w bulbs for the bathroom. If there is anything that you might not like, it might be the size or the plastic backing. This bulb is around 10% smaller than the standard bulb size. Also, the glass does not go all the way around the lighting element like a standard light bulb. Neither bothers me but I thought I should mention it to be fair. In the fan fixture, the size difference is not obvious and the plastic backing is out of sight.

3000K color temperature
Color temperature. The box says 3000 K. Maybe. I failed to measure, but it seemed a little higher than 3000 and not all reviewers have been fully satisfied with the color. I wasn't. Warm white is 2700 to 3000, so even at the claimed value of 3000, you are on the edge. Or could it be a CRI issue, rather than color temperature per se. Something is a bit off. One star deduction.Brightness, a.k.a. "Lumens". It can be very hard to compare bulb brightness because WHERE manufacturers measure lumens (directly beneath, or to the side) can hugely influence lumens. Upcoming USA regulations should help alleviate this industry wide problem by standardizing tests. Meanwhile, the best I can tell you is, I measured this bulb to be pretty directional (although it is not a flashlight by any means). Don't expect to get the manufacturer claimed lumens to the side. One star deduction for being too directional for some applications, as well as not dimmable, but others may protest my deducting any stars for what are arguably known features. I concede it really should be 4 stars in the subcategory of non-dimmable directional.Power consumption. I measured 4.2 watts. Extolling it for HUGELY beating incandescent is meaningless, as all LED bulbs do so. What we care about is this: how does it compare to other LED? 4.2 watts is certainly pretty low. The industry wide issue (no universal test procedure), makes it impossible for me to give you a definitive answer about Pac Lights efficiency, about their lumens per watt. I didn't change any stars because of electricity consumption.Power Factor. Almost no customers care about the technicality known as "power factor". But FWIW, I measured it, and I validated the manufacturer claim on PF. The PF was as claimed. It didn't effect my rating.conclusion: This is a good LED bulb, worthy of your consideration, but it definitely isn't the best LED for all applications.

Nice bulbs
Just installed three in my bathroom fixture. They seem about as bright as the 9-15w CFL's I took out, so I'm impressed they only use 4W. They are shorter than the typical incandescent bulb, which is nice since they recess further into the fixture and are pretty much hidden. Their color temp is 3000K so they are a little cooler than incandescent, but it is a very clean color and I find I actually am liking it a little more than the 2700K incandescent color temperature. One surprise - I had not noticed they were spec'd for 160 degree beam width, so they are a bit directional. That works very well for my over-the-sink light fixture, but not quite as well in my bathroom fixture which would benefit from something closer to 360 degree. Not a huge deal, but bear that in mind depending on how you intend to use them..
