Excellent product - fits perfectly
Fit perfectly and matches the maple on the inside of the drawers. Fit more knives than I expected and isn't too high that it blocks the drawer from shutting. Great value for the money.

Freed Counter Space by Getting Rid of the Knife Block
This handy item allows me to free precious counter space by getting rid of the knife block whole keeping my knives handy and safe. It's well made and useful.I had to sacrifice the prior use as a junk drawer, but I have other junk drawers, so that was no problem.

Good, sturdy product
Unless your drawer is 2 feet long, you will only be able to fit 11 knives in this holder. The bottom tier is impossible to use as it sits within 2 inches of the front of my drawer, and likely most standard kitchen drawers. The product description that it has 16 knife slots will be misleading for some.If storage for 11 knives is enough for you, which it is for me and I knew that when I ordered this holder, it is very sturdy, heavy and well-built. I am happy with its knife storage function. The only issue is that the weight of the holder is too heavy for my drawers. But most drawers are not built like this and are better able to handle the weight. On my drawer it causes a noticeable drag when opening and closing because the wheel mechanism is not able to support the weight. The drag damages the wood on the bottom of my drawer, leaving sawdust on the dishes below. But I have uniquely constructed cabinets which are not as able to support the additional weight. I've included a picture of the support for my drawer to allow comparison to your drawer construction. The wheel on mine is not able to support the weight. This review is for: Bellemain 100% Pure Bamboo in Drawer Knife Block | Knife Drawer Organizer | Store Knives Safely with The Blades Down | Storage Solution for Your Kitchen | Knife Organizer Drawer Insert

Organized and Happy!
I had no idea a knife block for drawers existed until I was recently shopping for a new santoku knife and happened to see the Bellemain Drawer Knife Block in my search results. I'm not one for counter clutter so I've never wanted a knife block before - but loose knives were a problem. I was a little leery as some of the reviewer's photos showed drawers that were larger than the one I planned on using, but decided to take the chance and I'm very glad I did. The inside measurements of my kitchen drawer are 19 x 19, with an inside height of 3". That drawer now holds the knife block (storing 11 knives including a large 13" chef's knife), cutlery tray, with have room to spare for a few odds and ends. Much better organization, and I no longer have very sharp knives loosely floating around. It's also much better for the blades of the knives. The perfect solution! The block itself is very well made, and even though it's hidden in a drawer it's attractive. At this price, and more so the benefits, you can't afford not to put this in your cart!

None were chipped but all were very very dull from this mistreatment
I have a collection of nine knives from various manufacturers, four of them 5" and the rest various lengths from 6" to 8" A couple of days ago, I ahd them all professionally sharpened, Before that, they were either banging around unsheathed in a drawer or sitting on their "ointy end" in a ery heavy vintage glass pitcher. None were chipped but all were very very dull from this mistreatment.Afer sharpening them I sheathed them all with a miscellany of sheath sets that I purchased on Amazon. I bought the sheath sets a few years ago but abandoned them because it was awkward to take the sheaths off, keep track of them and put them on again when I was finished wiht the knife. I tried the sheaths again with the same issue, plus the sheathed knives took up an entire drawer and couldn't be kept in any order.I received this item today and voila! I was able to slide in all nine knives (five into the "long knife" slots and the other four into the "short) knife" slots. My standard kitchen drawer (I live in an apartment) opens and closes with no issue; the dock fits perfectly and takes up less than half the drawer width. I hope it will be easy to clean but it certainly looks promising compared to any upright kjife block I hve used in the past. If I want to expand my knife colleciton I can just add a second knife dock side by side wiht the first. . I am ery very pleased.I am visually impaired and one big advantage of this knife dock is that it minimizes the risk of cutting myself trying ot reach for a knife. I may use colored tape to the color-code the slots and the knife handles to help keep track of which knife is in which slot. (I have a stock of variously colored tape tht I use for color coding.) Several sets of multicolored kjnives are now available on amazon but there are complaints that the color is just painted on and tends to wear away, possibly getting into food. Colored tape on the handles should fix that. This might be thought funky but I live alone and am not trying to impress anyone.
