Solid, hard polymer mounting ball
These are very well made and mount easily on Bulletpoint's Rubigrid mounting base. This mounting system works very well in a 2nd generation Toyota Tacoma. The balls on the mounts are machine turned out of hard polymer, rather than the molded rubber balls on Ram mounts. The Ram balls have a tendency to deform over time and in extreme heat. I haven't seen any deformation of these Bulletpoint balls, even after a year's use.One caveat is to make sure that you are ordering the correct diameter balls. Depending on what you want to mount, there are several different diameters and it makes a big difference.

Good Replacement For RAM Mounts
I started outfitting a new truck and went with Bulletpoint mounts over RAM because they are more sturdy in my use and look much better. I had to adapt my Garmin InReach mount which uses this type of amps mount and it worked perfectly. Everything matched up well and let me use the new Bulletpoint arms instead of RAM.
