Icecrypt S4000 Twin Tuner Free To Air Satellite Digital TV Personal Video Recorder (500GB hard drive)

We needed to replace an Icecrypt S4000 and ordered one as listed above. However we received the S6000 model without anyone checking whether this was acceptable to us. We may still have ended up buying a S6000 if the S4000 is no longer available but the advert clearly states S4000 and this was the reason why we made the transaction.

I just bought the Icecrypt S4000 and S6000.Both have major defects as seen on many Forums.The so called "powerful 7 Day EPG is very ify-does not always work!The live rewind of pre-existing media does not work!( you can not rewind a video etc.)Date loss if PVR crashes- meaning any little bit of PEG data you have will be erased.Icecrypt website has little to no help; what updates there are, do not address the problems.Other than that, the PIP function is pretty good and with the right configuration you can record two or three programs while watching 2 other.Look and read before you Buy is my lesson.
