I purchase the black one for $19, so that being said I admit that the detent is very strong unless you have gorilla hands. But you can open it, for me I use my thumb to crack it open then I use my index finger to finish opening the rest of the way. It's fine with me for the money it's a good deal. I love the pivot collar it compliments the black G10. The handle is chunky, but the blade is sharp and centered. Overall I'm pleased. But I understand that if I paid double like others did for the other colors, I wouldn't have given it as good of review due to the detent. Unfortunately not all the same knives have the same detent as the next one.

Great idea for a knife ruined by bad manufacturing and poor steel. The action of the knife is so clunky it feels dangerous, and low quality steel with Scandi grind is roll city.
