overall cooler is not compatible with alot of motherboards due to

manufacturers of certain motherboards which have capactitors to close to the socket are a issue with this cooler as the fins can comflict with alot of them so you can literally damage your motherboard or crush a capactitor if your not carefulnot compatible with ASRock H310CM-HDV the chokes get in the way.

Decent but whine at high speed

If you want a low-profile cooler for ITX or mATX systems - there are a lot of similar low-cost coolers somewhat based on the official/original Intel design. It all depends on the mounting system you want and cost:The good:- copper core thus should be OK for medium power/TDP CPUs (spec says 95W but I'd say 65W)- no push-pin installation thus solid, not likely to come off in transit (e.g. if you ship it, move it, etc.)- very low footprint, should fit low-height cases and does not overlap RAM/VRM like bigger fans- quite cheap considering competitive designs (e.g. Noctua at 3x the price)- PWM like just about all CPU fans today. The not so good:- Non-standard fan 92mm, cannot be replaced if it breaks. But cheap?- Whine at high speed. Don't get this for high-TDP CPUs which are likely to use the fan in high-speed mode.- Not cheap considering push-pin in 1/2 the price- You need to install CPU/cooler before you install mainboard into the case.- If you want to replace CPU you likely need to remove board from the case as the mounting plate will likely fall off.All in all it is cheap but not sure I will be able to live with the whine. But difficult to remove and replace now, need to take the whole computer apart. Best try to get a 120mm low-profile fan but naturally watch RAM/VRM height

Really impressed: SilverStone SST-KR01

I ordered the SilverStone SST-KR01.This is a cooler with copper pipes and aluminium fins. I used it to cool a 2400G using it's vega 11 iGPU. This cooler managed it perfectly, idling around 28c, and under stress getting to 52c max.Really happy with it. I maxed the fan speed to test how loud it is, and it's almost inaudible at max RPM. Great performance for such a cheap cooler.Silverstone have also added clips to the fan, so if the ender user ever wants to replace the current fan, maybe for an rgb one, it's easily done. The fitting is your standard AMD clip style, which is easy to fit. It comes with thermal paste (not applied) however I chose to add my own (arctic MX-4, which i would highly recommend)TL:DR it's a great budget cooler

Good for the price.

Overall it's a good fan for the price. The only reason I've taken a star away is because for some reason it takes a while to get up to speed. I've had to lower my RPM threshold to 500 just so I don't get a CPU fan error on startup. It soon speeds up though and keeps the CPU perfectly cool under load.

Don't bother with the SST-NT07-115X for slim HTPC setup

A bit of background - I've installed CPU coolers a few dozen times in my life so I know how to install them and never had an overheating issue before.First thing - the bracket at the back of my mini ITX motherboard didn't fit flush on the back but the cooler still seems to fit flush. I used the supplied thermal compound at first fit on an i5-4430s (TDP 65W) underclocked from 2.7GHz to 2.2GHz.Within 5 minutes of the PC being on, and with the case not even sealed, the temp rocketed up to 58 degrees. In a sealed unit, the temp hit 69 degrees so I had to turn the fan to max and under minimal load it was running at 67-68 degrees (i.e. absolutely no programs open). Max my CPU can handle is 72 degrees. Max fan speed is LOUD.I decided to try an i3-4340 which has a lower TDP of 54W.This time I used Arctic MX-4. With the case off first it was hitting 58 degrees and with the case on it hit 66 degrees before I shut it down as 67 degrees is the max the CPU can handle. Will be returning this to try an alternative fan as this one is not fit for purpose.

Quiet, excellent low starting speed of just 500rpm. Used on Optiplex 7020

The heat sink is identical to the one on the stock cooler, but the 80mm stock fan is replaced with a larger 92mm on this cooler. It cools a 55W CPU to under 50 degrees under load, about 10 degrees cooler than stock while inaudible. Compatible mounting with the stock on 1150, with screws instead of clips, driven from the TOP side of the board into the included backplate, but not needed in my case. Stock screws can be used instead as they have better springs and insert more easily. Recommended.

Good value for money

Just the ticket for cost effective up grade for an all in one CPU/GPU A series AMD unit.
