This could be the perfect case for a Surface
As the purchaser for my workplace, I’ve bought dozens of Fintie Cases for 13-inch Microsoft Surface Pro 11/10/9 devices, and they’re fantastic! The synthetic leather exterior is durable and stylish, with a soft microfiber interior to prevent scratches. The fit is perfect, even with the Type Cover, and cutouts align flawlessly for ports and camera. Absolutely love the aesthetic to the case, however for context I am a full time STEM major and the only thing I wish this case also came with was an inside pocket for standard paper sheets that wouldn’t have to be folded, also sometimes the case sticks out a little too far when note taking and as I don’t have the most room to work all of the time living in a small room in university, its just a minor inconvenience. The thickness feels fine to me and appears to protect the surface pro relatively well, I've only dropped it maybe 2-3 times since having it for a few months and I haven't seen any damage to the Surface Pro. It fits very snuggly onto the latest surface pro model I have and its definitely been worth the investment.

It will provide good protection. Pen can still be stored on the keyboard with case closed.
This fit my Surface pro very nice. I do not need to take it off to use it on my lap. Love that the case will hold the screen up while it's sitting on my lap. I have gotten complements on it right away. It's the first thing people notice. I think this will protect my surface pro 11 from falls just fine as it has a plastic case around it holding it in place.
