PNBOO PA-30 170 Degree Wide-Angle 4K 30fps 16MP Waterproof Action Camera with 2.0 Inch HD Ultra Display with Sony Sensor and WiFi (Black)

This is a great little affordable sports camera. 5 stars for the value, however it is quirky and there are a few things to be aware of. First off, what is really great is the sheer amount of accessories that come with the camera. You get an underwater case as well as various accessories to attach the camera to a helmet, bike, dashboard etc. It is a wide angle camera, so be aware that the video will have a fisheye effect. The images are sharp and clean. I would recommend immediately installing the app to control the camera (on a tablet seems better than phone, phone requires that you put your phone in airplane mode to connect. Not clear if you have to keep it in airplane mode to use the camera, so if you have a spare tablet, that would be ideal)What you may not like, but I don't believe it should bother you at this incredible price: the instructions are not very clear. The software and the camera menus are counter-intuitive. For example, you need to use the on/off switch to access some menu items. Also, I was recording the eclipse (pointing the camera at the ground!!!) and the camera simply did not record. I got no warning from the camera nor the app. That said, I had just pulled it out of the box and that was my first test, so take some time with it before you try to capture a once in a lifetime moment.

This camera has been great! The size makes it SO easy to carry around and take video or pics. I use the little remote all the time! I use one of the selfie sticks most times and strap the remote on it. That way I can extend the stick out for a pic I can't get close enough for or dozens of other things and of course actual selfies. But the little remote is perfect for taking the pictures or recording. I didn't think I'd use it but I was wrong. The lenses field of view is also incredible. I find I rarely can't fit everything I want in one picture. Even when being very close to things like homes, everything fits in the pic.We went to Hawaii and wanted something to take photos and videos underwater. After looking around I decided on this camera for the great price and video quality.I've never found a reason to spend a few hundred on a GoPro as I wouldn't be able to utilize it for the price. We also already have a canon 7D so we don't need anything to take better pictures.Now that I have it, I wish I would've bought it sooner. Video and pictures look amazing for such a small affordable camera. The wifi feature is also wonderful. I haven't used it to control the camera yet, but I've used to to pull off video and pictures on to my phone. I haven't been able to tell if the 4K video is actually better than the 1080p yet as my phone doesn't have that high of a resolution.

In my experience this is a flaw in the firmware of all generic 4k action cameras. They will sometimes create corrupt unreadable files. Not very reliable if you are using as a cycle/dash cam. It would suck if that one time something happens the file is corrupt, and with these cheap generic 4k cameras it's a distinct possibility.
