Onlier Wireless Charger Charging Receiver Module for Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500

There's a lot of fuss about wireless charging right now, especially with the latest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge having been released. If you listen carefully, though, they are 'wireless charging ready,' it's not a functionality that old models can't use, they're just not ready to use Qi style charging our of the box. We avoided wireless charging for a long time, until the S6, because we always assumed our Galaxy S4s were not capable. In truth you can buy an adapter such as this that installs in seconds and makes wireless/touch charging possible. Quality Qi enabled charging pads are as low as $10 on Amazon.NOTE: This listing is for the charging receiver- you will need to buy a Qi wireless charging pad or dock in order to take advantage of the wireless charging capabilities. This adapter is Qi compliant and will work with ANY wireless charging pad certified as such.The Yay:* The packaging was fairly professional- There are basic instructions and I appreciated that it came in a branded envelope as opposed to solo in a plastic bag, like some affordable phone accessories tend to do.* I was happy that I could charge THROUGH our very thick Speck card cases- I've had an issue with another adapter in the past. This one had great, strong, steady connectivity in charging.*This is easy to install- remove the backing of your phone and line up the receiver's top gold toned pins with the identical pins on your phone (just above the battery bay, to the left.) There is a small tab you can peel off and stick to your battery to help hold it in place if you desire but we swap out batteries sometimes so I didn't end up using it. There is no software or functions that need to be tampered with to use it, once installed, and you don't need to turn off your phone or remove the battery. Simply install, replace the back phone cover and drop your phone on a Qi charging mat.*While you may need to drop your phone on the pad a few times initially, depending on the charger you are using, to get a sense of where the best contact is (I found just below the mid section was the easiest/strongest charge point,) you will quickly learn where to position to phone.*This seems to charge about half as fast as direct AC to USB adapters- Our Samsung Galaxy S4 took 1 hour and 50 minutes to charge to full, from 0 pct battery health. This may vary with the quality of charging pad and really have nothing to do with the receiver.*I was expecting the phone to be warm to the touch after sitting on our charging pad for almost an hour but it was rather cool. There was SOME warmth, but less than when I play a graphics heavy game on my smartphone.We paid about $10 for our starter charging pad, and $10 for this receiver, per phone- all in all it's still a very great bargain and works just as well as phones with built in Qi ready capabilities.

Bought this for one of our S4s, It installed easily just underneath the case back. Make sure you have the two contacts precisely located against the matching contacts on the phone back, then carefully reattach the cover. The provided adhesive didn't last so I used a bit of tape to secure the pad in position so it would not shift. I found a slight bulging of the cover, but nothing too objectionable.This unit works and charges through a fairly thin TPU case, but seems somewhat touchy for finding the sweet spot when charging. I make this comment while trying my S6 on the same pad it it's case with no problems at all. Once I was trained on how to place the S4 properly on the pad, I'm having better luck with it. Highly recommended for Galaxy S4.

I paired this with CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charging Pad and it works great on my Galaxy 4s. I only need to set it down now to start charging and it turns off when done. It doesn't get hot like some say and I don't need to fiddle around with cords. I've had some problems with some cords not working all the time. I've had the plug on my phone replaced and it is better, but it still does it sometimes. So this was the answer for me. It was super easy to install and works through my thick Otter Box cover. No more plug in and no more waking in the morning to a dead phone. I love this item and the CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charging Pad.

Bought this product when my phone port went. Sticker had no adhesive areas to stick to phone to keep it in place so the battery wouldn't keep contact. It wouldn't charge on the wireless charger. So I looked at some tutorials online to see if I was doing something wrong. It was suggested to peel the decorative sticker off one side because it was aluminum and interfered with charging. That must have been with an earlier model because when I peeled this sticker off , it was not aluminum. However this did help it stick to the phone. No matter what I did, when I placed the phone on the charger it indicated it was charging and the battery icon appeared on my phone screen, but it never indicated that the battery level was increasing. I adjusted the module many times as well as its position on the wireless charger and it still never charged. Ended up buying a spare battery charger which I had more success with.

Working flawlessly so far.I've bought some other qi charger addons in the past and they ended up heating the phone/battery to a point where I wasn't really comfortable using them.This, on the other hand, worked fine and doesn't heat up the phone while charging.You do have to tape it up on the back of phone to have it held up in the right position all the time.No issues so far - loving the ability to wirelessly charge my S4!

The charging port on my Galaxy S4 broke due to my Otter Box bending the plug so this was a much cheaper option then having the phone repaired. (That issue ended up fixing itself.) There seemed be some discrepancy on whether if you could get it installed with an Otter Box covering the phone, let alone charge the thing. Well I'm happy to report that it will work with the Otter Box. It is an extremely tight fit but it will work. As recommend by others, make sure you tape the receiver pad with electrical tape otherwise it might shuffle around. Much cheaper then the phone back that Samsung sells as well.

i purchased 2 of these s4 qi receivers both had issues, i had to peel off the adhesive paper that holds the coils together in order to be able to use them. i would not recomend doing the same as it is dificult to peel without destroying the coils. additionally even after the surgery they only work marginally and 1 of them will not work with any case no matter how thin. i used multiple charger plates with little differance and other phones charge fine.

This QI system works extremely well. Fits under the battery cover of the Galaxy S4 without any problem and charges very easily – even through a silicon case.Absolutely no complaints. Does what it says on the tin.This is the future of mobile phone charging
