Great fans, easy setup
Okay, I am an experienced PC technician, but I have not had a lot of experience with RGB stuff in the modern PCs. This is the THIRD set of RGB fans I bought for this new build.First ones were falsely advertised as being Aura Sync compatible (my system board is ASUS), they were only partially compatible. They turned ON, they lit up and sometimes would change colors. sent those back as not being as advertised.Second ones were worse than the first set. (Different brand this time.) This set also came with one of the hub/controllers, and was semi-functional with all 9 fans running on one controller box (it had 9 ports). Static colors would work, but not the shifting color patterns. So, I pulled 6 of them off the one box, thinking it was a voltage thing, and put just 3 on each of the boxes. One box flickered for about 10 minutes and then quit entirely. Third box worked okay. BUT, while I was fiddling, trying to get the second one that flickered to work, I smelled an odd smell. Total of about 5 minutes had passed since hookup. Within ONE minute of having smelled something odd, SMOKE was coming from one of the wires on the third box, and the wires were melting. Obviously a quality control issue, wires were crossed and shorting somewhere. Happily, my PC was unaffected. So those all went back as defective.Third set, costs more, and looked like better fans. Maybe. That was this set I am reviewing.1) Very easy setup. Directions were actually understandable and without dumb grammar mistakes (most likely due to bad translation from whatever original language.)2) EVERY single feature as advertised and works flawlessly.3) AURA SYNC not only works as it should, it works flawlessly.I am finally happy with the purchase.Update: A year later and still going perfectly. NO issues with the "fan" performance, nor has there been anything wrong with the "RGB" features. Very happy.

120mm RGB PWM Case Fan
added these fans to NZXT R6 FLOW cabinet as a part of my recent system upgrade. They are quiet, have good ARGB lighting, and are performing very well for cooling

Best bang for the buck ARGB fan
I picked up a couple more sets of these for my new TT P8 case. First, the hub is much more improved despite using plastic now (vs aluminum). It's no downgrade mind you. You get a much more snug fit on the ARGB plugs and they go in right away. This is still a bit of a pain in the old hubs. The only concern I've ran into these last two additional purchases were the availability. First, let's get the obvious one out of the way. Secondly, these things to go out of stock quickly. So you if need a bunch, make sure to keep checking. I've posted pics of my finished builds and have no problem recommending these. I'm even tempted to replace the stock Enermax rgb fans on my cooler for two of these. On a side note, I've lost two of these, though this was due to debris getting into the hubs. I don't blame the fans, but these DO NOT pop out like many other name brand fans if you're looking to service them. Be warn, before you break one. I don't have a problem buying an extra set to have on hand if case of failure (which a filter and using a pedestal/stand helps avoid this). These fans are PWM, are best controlled via software. Check your motherboard manufacturer for a fan control.Last bit of advise, AMD Ryzen six cores tend to ramp up a single core drastically, causing the fans (and cpu fan) to run faster. It's a common thing among owners, so I would recommend a custom fan curve to keep your fans in check with AMD Ryzen six cores.

A viable replacement for a full Corsair Setup....mostly
Update 02/28/2020--After going through the process of switching the 120mm rad on my 2080 ti hybrid to a 480mm rad I now have 19 of these fans going strong in my case and airflow is great despite the fact these are not static optimized fans. The GPU is now ~25° cooler at load with these fans on the 480mm rad. They are still quiet and produce a considerable amount of airflow. I do wish EZDIY-FAB would modify the fan blade design to match those of a static pressure nature.Update 12/13/2019--I now have 16 of the EZDIY-FAB Moonlight fans in my PC and the light show is awesome. And to be completely honest it is overkill however although I know it will get old it is nice to know that I can change the color and effects to fit my ever changing theme (and mood).I now have 3 fans as intakes from the bottom, 2 as intakes from the front, 2 as intakes from the side, 1 as exhaust out the back, 2 in push/pull on a 120mm radiator exhausting from the back for my 2080 Ti Hybrid, and 6 in push/pull on a 360mm radiator exhausting from the top for my 9900K. Admittedly I was a little skeptical about using these on my radiators but they actually turned out very good and also very quiet, even when they kick into high speed. I can still feel the air just fine coming up through the grill of my Phanteks Enthoo Primo case. The temperatures on my 2080 ti sit nicely at around 40-50°C on full load and my 9900K isoverclocked to 5.0Ghz with a 4.7Ghz Ring Ratio, with the memory controller overclocked, and the RAM also overclocked at a +400Mhz and the CPU still sits at 86°C at full load which is still very decent for an overclocked 9900K.Still I am not very pleased with the make up of the hub and have decided not to use the ones that came in the package. I purchased two third party hubs here on Amazon and they seem to be working great! All 16 fans sync with my motherboard very well. I hope in the future that EZDIY-FAB releases an updated hub with the same or similar quality as the ones I purchased. I was not successful with using a splitter (whether 8 way or 2 way) with the hub, plus the hub only supports 5 fans to begin with. For these reasons I have given the whole package 4 stars.Something else I wanted to mention was the cables on the fans for the power and LEDs. They are thin and almost fragile looking at first glance but they work well and are sturdy. Overall, this is a great brand and will look for more of their offerings in the future.Update 12/10/2019--So I decided to try and use one of the two hubs I have in my possession and both of them exhibit the same behavior in that they do not properly sync with my MSI Z390 Godlike motherboard, at least with that many fans across a splitter. I tried different ways to connect them all and the lighting was uncontrollably freaky to say the least. Also I noticed that when cycling the rainbow effect the fans "go dark" for a few seconds and then go back and cycle through the color spectrum again. I really don't know if this is the hub, the fans, or my board, but I'm leaning more and more towards a combination of the fans and the board.Still, the fans work wonderfully on other effect settings and are beautiful to behold. I did end up getting a third party hub with enough connections to allow me to plug each ARGB cable from the fans to it's own header on the hub. Now all 10 fans work great and are doing a good job of keeping my PC cool. Just today I installed 2 on my 2080 TI Hybrid graphics card radiator and they are keeping the card cool during gaming sessions, so that is cool.I'm removing a Star because both Hubs are of no use to me in their current state and it's a shame that I can get the effects and functionality I need from a third party hub but not from the hub supplied from the fans.I'm also kind of bummed about the LEDs going dark during the rainbow cycle as if that was intended. Still, I believe the fans are awesome and I still highly recommend them for their glowing awesomeness and performance. The original review is below:So I did the math and for me to completely overhaul my setup I would have to spent over $750 if I went full Corsair everything just for lighting inside my custom built PC. Sure I could do this over time, a very very long time, but then it eventually would become more of a headache for the amount of times I would have to take everything down, install new parts, RE-ROUTE CABLES, and then test everything in hopes I got it all right every time I wanted to make a change or add something new.So I looked around for a loooong time instead. of Course I considered Corsair and Thermaltake brands and a few different off-brand names such as UpHere, EZDIY-FAB, and AsiaHorse. The major brands had the features I wanted but at a premium I really didn't want to pay and the off-brands weren't always clear on what they were offering and so there was the concern for incoming buyers remorse had I pulled the trigger too early. The more I studied EZDIY-FAB's offerings the more they appealed to me and finally I decided on the EZDIY-FAB Moonlight RGB PWM Case Fan 120mm with RGB PWM Fan Hub.The Box is very plain and leaves a lot to be desired and at first this was an immediate turn off but then I remember back in the day when AMD wasn't much on advertising their products and the savings found it's way back to the customers. So I dismissed this and replaced it with the concern that the box was dirty with a whitish powder (oh snap) or maybe it was dust? Still I opened the box as I chose to believe there was no need to worry about anthrax being a thing, right? The fans were not immediately gorgeous to me. They looked light and very simple until I picked one up. They are heaver compared to my previously installed Corsair SP120s and upon closer examination they began to feel very solid and seemed very well built. The box contained everything in order to get all 5 fans up and running:-Of course all 5 fans-The fan hub-5 sets of screws-an adapter cable for Gigabyte boards-a pwm cable for the hub-the instruction manualI decided against using the hub because I didn't want to install two (I bought a total of 10 fans, two packages worth and will be ordering a third soon) extra boxes inside my system with extra sata cables for each. So I opted to try a different approach and purchased two 8:1 ARGB splitter cables.I tested two fans before I committed to performing surgery on my PC and I was amazed at the colors. I had already asked questions (a lot of questions) regarding various attributes of the fans, one of them being "How many LEDs do they use?". I was told 16, the same number that the Corsair fans use. Okay, cool. I continued my installation and installed all 5 fans. I cheated on the install a little bit, again because I didn't want to use the hub, I purchased the 8:1 cable and then some 4 pin male to male LED adapters because the cables ended with female connections. I pulled the 3rd pin out of all 20 adapters using a pair of pliers and inserted each into the cable ends and then into each of the fans. Finally I plugged the cable into my JRainbow1 header and didn't even bother with redoing my cable management just in case I had to take everything out again. I put everything back together and pushed the power button on my system and that symphony of colors lit up like a Christmas tree. It was beautiful and I was happy. My pros concerning this product are as follows:1. It is a solid product. The fans and hub are of good build quality, but time will tell2. The fans do use a standard PWM cable for use with any motherboard PWM header and you are not tied to a proprietary cable or six pin setup that only works with the supplied Hub.3. The colors are bright and vibrant and, at least with the MSI Mystic Light software, there are several effects to choose from. You see them shine most with the rainbow color.4. The light ring is visible on both side of the fan so whether you are using them as intake or exhaust the ring is still visible.5. The fans move a decent amount of air* The fans hit or exceed 1600rpms at full blast and at only 1000rpms you feel the air hitting your hand. EZDIY-FAB says they are rated at 37.5cfm which to be honest isn't great.6. At full speed the fans are still very quiet. My one con would have to be the CFM rating. I do wish they pushed more air but they do get the job done. I'm curious to see how these will perform on a radiator as I have a 360mm rad on top of my case for my cpu and a 120mm on my hybrid graphics card. I will find out soon enough as I have another 5 of these fans sitting in a box. For now, I am very well pleased. I believe I will play around with my fan profiles in the bios and see what I get.
