Been looking for a decent gas soldering iron for ages, I have corded and cordless ones. So when my little gas torch gave up the ghost I was time to get a decent one.A quick search came up with some very pricey units, but this one stood out. But what was surprising was the Amazon price , which was well below the nearest competitors, and it’s the same as the snap on version, win win.Using it is a doddle with the easy ignition and instant heat, and the added flip out stand makes it safe to put on the side.Finally once done with the cover can be slipped over and left to cool safely.A great buy for soldering/heating away from a power source.

The Portasol gas soldering iron is a great bit of kit. It is extremely well made, feels solid and comfortable in your hand, and the only problem that I've had with it was failing to fire it up due to my own stubbornness to read the damn instructions! Full kudos to Amazon and EU Accessories Limited for getting it here before the due date, in fact I couldn't use it at first because it got here before the gas bottles did! I was looking for a new soldering iron anyway, but didn't want to be tied down with wires anymore, so after reading lots of reviews for different products went with the Portasol! And I'm really glad I did! It's great for all your household/electronic soldering needs!

Only comes with thick chisel tips, no narrow tip, so has to be bought separately.Other than that it's a fantastic unit, probably the best gas soldering iron you can get on the market, ignites first time always, lasts ages on the gas, and heats up extremely fast, less than 60 seconds

Great all around tool which will save you money compared to buying iron + torch. Note that this cheaper kit has a reduced number of tips and does not include the 1mm tips, which you might want for electronics work! However, the brand is solid and spare tips are easy to purchase at about 9 quid each. It is cheaper to buy this kit and extra tip you need.

I have to concur with the majority of reviewers, this is a professional tool, there is nothing I don't like about it.The kit is targeted towards site work,unfortunately not my intended use, I just wanted a cordless ready to go soldering iron on my bench, an additional purchase of an extra tip and it suits my purpose very well.Having used a few of these devices it is the the best I've used.

Does the job just fine

I bought this after using a colleagues in work , very good quality feels good in the hand gets up to temprature very quickly the surface area on the Tips allows very effective heat transfur making it very easy to solder with , half the cost of a weller but just as good in my eyes

Way better than the commonly available models, that don't perform as reliably and durably as most would want. Gets going with the slightest touch - being blown is not a problem, either. Rampantly red-hot tip. Good substantial shaft to get the tip to where it needs to be. Once exhausted, it can be replenished and ready to go again no time. Highly commended for first-timers and seasoned lags alike.

Gets hot fast .. real hot ... I would turn off when not in use . Should solder any normal wire with ease.

Completo di accessori come da foto, Ottimo e comodo strumento da avere per saldare qualche cavo. Prima di questo avevo il modello base (scatola rossa) e mi sono sempre trovata bene. Consigliato.

120W Version: Mein erster Gas Lötkolben. Bin eigentlich Lötstationen gewohnt als Elektroniker. Überraschend handlich und gut verwendbar, um ohne Steckdose und Kabel am Auto zu löten. Zwar gibt es auch 12V Lötkolben aber spätestens beim Schlauch Schrumpfen wird es dann kabelgebunden doch eng. Das hier ist die Universallösung.Glaube nicht für Elektronik Arbeiten verwenden zu wollen, da die Temperatur nicht sauber und genau eingestellt werden kann, was kein Mangel ist sondern konzeptbedingt natürlich nicht möglich ist. Aber gut um Stecker und Kabel zu verlöten. Das grosse Plus ist die Heissluft Düse mit der spielend einfach und punktgenau Schrumpfschläuche schrumpfen lassen. Löten und Schrumpfen ohne Steckdose ohne Stromwandler ohne Batterie, einfach super mobil. Ich hätte früher schon daraufkommen sollen!Bis Vollgas ist die Flamme zur Zeit nicht konstant, das Geräusch ist laut und leise, das Ding atmet... soll später beaser qerden heisst es. Ist mir aber egal, stört nicht und ich brauche auch bei dicken Kabeln kein Vollgas. Gute Entscheidung eine teuerere Marke zu kaufen, Ersatz- und Zubehörteile überall erhältlich. Mein Rat wenn Gaslötkolben wegen Mobilität dann unbedingt auch mit Heissluft Düse zum Schrumpfen. Am Besten im Set.

Vale cada peso pagado, trae muchas puntas útiles y prende sin problemas, el estuche es muy práctico , podría tener más grande la ventana para ver el líquido pero por lo demás está excelente

Buenas, en primer lugar decir que Amazon me lo ha entregado en 2 días, rapidísimo.Sobre el producto, tanto la caja, como los accesorios, como el soldador son profesionales, un buen producto para el precio.Todo viene en un estuche rígido que parece resistente para poder transportarlo con otras herramientas sin que se dañe lo del interior.El estuche trae el soldador, y 6 accesorios, 2 para soldar, una para corte, el deflector, la esponja de limpieza y la tapa para cubrir el soldador y poder transportarlo sin quemarte después de usarlo. Las instrucciones vienen en castellano, italiano e inglés.Aún que estoy esperando que lleguen las bombonas de gas azul para probarlo, diría que cumple las expectativas. Ya comentaré cuando lo pruebe si me ha surgido algún problema.Por ponerle una pega, me hubiera gustado que viniese con otras puntas para los trabajos que tengo que hacer, pero ya las iré adquiriendo por que he visto que están en una media de 20€.Compra recomendada.Adjunto fotos.
