DON'T buy. It makes more of a mess that it's worth. Item is a pain to clean and does bot cyt well stick to a knife and cutting board, you'll save more time by not having to clean this thing.

It didn’t come with instructions, so who knows? Maybe I’m doing it wrong. The top does not stay connected while pressing down. The hinge part continues to slide right off.

I use this slicer all the time for onions and other veggies. Carrots and zucchini are a breeze with the single blade, onions with the larger square checkerboard attachment. The small square checkerboard attachment wasn't great for onions, though. I'm not sure if the instructions say it, but I'd recommend hand washing the clear plastic hopper. This is the third one I received. The first two, the clear hopper was damaged, htough they were sent back and replaced with no hassle. It is thin, but this is still my favorite slicer for ease of use, cutting area, selection of attachments. Be careful with the hopper and it should last you a while.

This is nice but I wish it was a bit more sturdy. The metal parts feel as if they are made from an aluminum coke can. Super thin, kind of scared to press very hard.
