Just buy metal.
Save yourself the headache and just by metal. Failed after a few months. Nothing plastic lasts in the sun, UV damage is on the microscopic level and it will make any plastic brittle over time. I wanted to give this thing a chance due to ball valve design - not worth it. Two stars due to my own hubris. Never again.

Plastic for the longterm
We use these in several commercial laundries. The brass models that we replaced have much smaller ports and therefor much less water delivery. Hard to believe the brass model falls apart and causes floods in the store. These are solid and deliver the same diameter water from hose bib to hose.

if it lasts
problem with these, in general, and i have tried all kinds - metal and plastic, is they tend to leak at the valves before to long. if this one lasts more than a few months, will come back and up the review.

Hose splitter works great
This is a really good hose splitter. And the levers are very easy to turn unlike others I have tried.

After a few moths of use I noticed a crack and water starts coming out.
