Works Like Old Fashioned Drawing Salve but Doesn’t Smell Bad
Hyland’s PRID (Pain Relief & Irritant Drawing Salve) worked really well on the three mosquito bites I acquired in the church parking lot this morning. By the time we got back home, they were itching like crazy, and I had scratched their tops off. I rubbed a little dab of PRID on each bite and had almost instant relief. The best thing was that the salve didn’t leave black goo under my fingernails or smell awful like the old ichthammol ointment I remember using as a child. It does have ichthammol and sulfur listed as active ingredients, but their smell is overpowered by the scent of the pain-relieving botanicals -- arnica, calendula and echinacea, and it fades quickly. I expect to put it to good use this summer on splinters and ant bites acquired while gardening, and I plan to order another tin to keep in the car.

I’m sold!
Saw this after getting numerous ads and thought it would be a great addition to my medicine cabinet. I got a nasty deep splinter almost immediately after purchasing and this was a life saver! Put it on the splinter, wrapped it in a bandage and left it overnight. I was able to pull it out the next day with ease, as it had drawn it to the surface. This has saved me several trips to the walk-in clinic now as I’ve been able to get wood and glass shards out of my skin with ease. You need this in your medicine cabinet!

Worth the hype
I will be honest I was skeptical of this product as it’s been a viral sensation on TikTok and took most those reviews with a grain of salt. Decided to purchase on my own see how it was. And let me tell you this stuff is amazing especially for mosquito bites. Help eliminate the itching. As well as I’m sure works amazing for ingrown hairs and or slivers

Effective for Minor Skin Irritations
Hyland's PRID is a handy little salve to have in the medicine cabinet for those unexpected skin issues. I've used it on splinters and small, stubborn pimples, and it does seem to help draw out the irritant and promote healing. The ointment has a somewhat strong odor, which might bother some, but it's not overpowering for me. While it's not a miracle worker for severe issues, it's definitely worth the price for minor skin discomfort. It's a reliable, natural option for those times.Effectiveness: 4/5Scent: 3/5Value: 5/5Ease of Use: 5/5Overall: 4/5

Worked for splinter
Next day delivery with prime was a huge plus! My 8 year old had a nasty wood splinter for about week, I applied this twice and covered with a bandaid and the splinter poked out where I could grab it.

Didn’t do much for stubborn splinters
I bought this hoping it would help with a deep splinter that was hard to remove, but I didn’t notice any real improvement after several applications. The texture is thick and a bit sticky, which made it tough to keep on the area unless it was fully covered with a bandage. It also has a strong, medicinal smell that lingered longer than I expected. It might offer some mild relief for surface-level skin irritations or bug bites, but for actual drawing out of splinters or ingrown hairs, it didn’t live up to the reputation. I appreciate that it's made with natural ingredients, but I wouldn’t rely on it for anything beyond minor skin issues.

IT WORKED ON A DEEP BOIL!
I bought the other drawing salve for $14. It wasn't effective. I bought this tiny thing for $6 bc I saw it was extra strength.Someone said it stinks. It doesnt.Someone said it doesn't work on deep buried boils.. It does! At least it did for me anyway.I had a boil in the most uncomfortable spot 2 months ago. It got SO BIG that I couldn't walk. It was the size of a golf ball between my legs! It NEVER came to a head on its own. I had to have someone puncture it deeplty with a clean sterile needle. It was all blood. Dark blood that STUNK! Clearly it was an infection of some kind. It wasn't easy to drain either. The initial puncture didn't release any pressure. It was the oddest thing.I slept with a towel between my legs and I guess gentle pressure over 8 hours allowed it to slowly ooze out.It cleared up and I thought that was that.It came back 2 weeks agoJust like before it was getting pretty big. I tried a drawing salve... it was less strength than Prid. It didn't seem like it was working.Tried Prid... 2nd day I noticed it wasn't growing like it was.3rd day it plateaued in growth.4th day it was actually going down in size a tiny bit.It was growing so fast. It's day 7 and it has nearly fully resolved.I have no clue how this works.I applied it 4 times a day and placed a tiny bit of toilet paper so it wouldn't smear everywhere. I also took 2 oregano oil capsules twice a day to help with any infection. Not even a whole week and it is almost gone.It was DEEP into my skin. It never got a whitehead... it just sort of dissolved.Hope this helps

Great inexpensive stuff
Love this stuff I keep it on hand for everything. I have some glass which is in the ball of my foot. It's not easy to pick stuff out of your own foot or at least not for me. I have been getting pieces out now with Pride now for weeks. It's not a fast solution but it worked on my left foot perfectly now just need to get all the glass out of the right foot. I open the skin a bit, lather on some Prid and cover with gauze. Do this for several nights. Then dig some more while removing the glass that has come close to the surface. My foot is feeling better after each use. Works on pimples too.
