Q: has anyone had a beeping problem with there chamberlain garage door remote opener changed battery still beeps any info.

Probably the warning beeps that the door is going to close automaticly. Remote has a timer on it and will automatically close door after a picked time.

Q: I don't understand why it is stated that this won't work with the lift that has a yellow learn button. I have three of these and they worked fine?

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe it is an error by the manufacture. We have had several returned because it doesn't work on the Yellow button operators. Maybe the manufacture should figure this out.

Q: Will this work with a liftmaster 3255? replacing 78lm controller. do i need the gateway, too?

The Liftmaster Internet Gateway is necessarly when connecting MyQ enabled devices to the internet. This would be MyQ accessories like lights, garage door locks, remote door openers like the 829LM that can be inside the house and of course the liftmaster MyQ app on your smartphone or tabled device. The 78LM should wire directly to the back of the 3255 so the internet gateway won't be necessary. If you garage door is MyQ compatible and you would like to access it from your smartphone or over the internet then the internet gateway will be necessary. Hope this helps good luck with the install

It says my q right on the panel. Look at the picture. You can call chamberlain to verify, but I would say yes.
