I’ve recently discovered IPL after many years of struggling with my confidence due to my body hair. So far, I am extremely impressed with how much slower my hair is growing back. I have very thick and stubborn body hair mixed with sensitive skin so this is totally new for me and I am loving it!! And I’m only 3 weeks in!!! I can’t wait for the results after 12 weeks! The device is super easy to use and doesn’t hurt. I did a lot of research comparing different IPL brands and found SmoothSkin to be the most trustworthy with the most clinical trials out of all to prove their devices work. I’ve had this for a while and just got the courage to use it because I thought it would hurt. I have olive skin and have had no sensitivities to it. In the 5 weeks I have used it so far I haven’t noticed any redness in areas of use. I use the regular setting but there are two other settings for sensitivity.I’ve been using this for 5 weeks and have definitely noticed lesser hair. I do the sides of my face, chin, neck, legs and arm pits and it probably takes me less than 10 minutes. There can be a smell of burnt hair if you don’t shave the area prior.It’s easily hand held but I have found for me it’s not as ergonomic when I’m doing my legs as opposed to my face, but still very easy to use.

I have very fair skin and after only 2 sessions I noticed a hair reduction in armpits and in the bikini area. Unfortunately, the third time I tried to use it, the device didn't longer emit flashes, but when I pressed the button I could only hear a ticking sound. Since it wasn't even a month after delivery, I was able to return it, otherwise I would have wasted almost $400! I definitely won't buy it again, given other reviews reporting the same problem. Very disappointed!

This is a difficult product to review. The device does very well on the obvious criteria like design and ease of use. But prospective buyers will want to know if it actually works, and that's harder to answer. Bottom line - yes, but. I have used it mostly for my legs, and it does get rid of a lot of the hair, but there are several areas where it keeps coming back. The thing is, there's no way to tell how much of that is due to user error and how much is just the limitation of the technology itself. That's because it's very easy to miss spots as you go - there's no feedback to let you know where you have already treated (and that's mostly a good thing - the instructions say that some people get reddened skin or irritation, but I haven't had that at all). Also the head of the machine is a little bigger than the actual window that flashes, so you can't see to line it up exactly (not to mention legs are irregularly shaped). I have also used it on my mustache, with some success. Having used the device for 6 months (weekly for the first 12 weeks as recommended, and as-needed after that), I'm concluding that I will need to shave and re-treat about every 2 weeks - which is still way better than every other day, so I'm ahead.

I've tried many different laser hair removal devices. Tria has been the only other one that works this well. It has completely made my armpit hair go away for months at a time. I've always struggled with armpit hair, where I have to shave every other day - no more! I now just do touch ups. I've also used this along my bikini line, on my chin, and plan to use it on my ankles. It's not the best for small places (tough to get upper lip), but overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. It has some great setting (fast; sensitive/less painful areas). I will say that this brings some punch, and can be pretty painful, but it's worth it to me!

I can't get the rapid fire setting to work and it takes a while for it to work. Did not see results after 6-8 weeks of weekly use.

Really truly amazing results, backstory I have had issues with my facial hair since I was a teenager, so about 27 years. I would wax for several of those years, and I had Lazer treatment that cost me over $700 for 12 treatments, as that is all I could afford at the time. This did in fact work but I needed to have a couple more sessions to have this completely gone. By the time I could afford it price went up to over 1000. So for the past several years I just would just pluck my face clear it once a week. I saw this product thought I would give it a try and by the 3rd week I had already noticed a big difference. I am 8 weeks in and OMG crazy how well this has worked for me. Does not hurt u feel a sting every now and then but that is a good sign, that it got that one hair follicle. The price I paid vs what the clinics offer is well worth buy this it for sure. I have no pictures cause I was doubtful going in. So happy I was proven wrong love this !!
