Idirectmart Triangle Sun Shade Sail 18 Feet - Sand Color

My local home improvement store was selling these sail shades for $40. The problem is that their size was only 10x10x10. For the same price, I was able to get this 18x18x18 sail shade from Amazon. Still, even with the bigger size, the shade that it gives is not as much as you would think. A nice canopy would have worked better for my yard. I tried to return the product, but the shipping was almost as much as the refund that I would get back. So, I'll keep it in case I needed when I go camping.If you have a large yard and are considering giving an area some shade, spend your money on a pergola or nice canopy. It may be a little more, but it will be worth it. These shades are best for small confined spaces. If you put them in a large yard to cover one spot, it will definitely not look as nice as you imagine. I'm giving it one more star because the price wasn't bad.

Great shade sail, especially for the money, and for this larger 18' size, though I'd have preferred a lighter color. It is tan, as the picture shows, not off-white like some of the Cooleroo shades. Fabric is a poly mesh, similar to Cooleroo. It's been installed for several years now, and holding up well in the SoCal sun. The shade it creates is about perfect, allowing pleasant outdoor dining even at noon under a full summer sun. I attached it to our courtyard wall on two corners using sturdy marine hardware, and attached the third corner using about 3' of tripled 5/16 shock cord. This allows it to flex and absorb wind gusts.

It produces a light shade completely blocking the sun. Because of the design, the area that covers is on or about 15 feet’s. However it requires 18ft to 20ft area to assemble. Great product, I recommend it. Too small for the area I want to cover, therefore I order another 24ft squared.

Arrived on time, appears to be well made ok but cannot comment on quality as can't use them. Expected product to be as it appears, instead all sides are equal making it difficult to fit in confined spaces.

I am pleasantly surprised of the quality for the price. At half the cost of similar shade sails I was prepared for junk but it seems well made and durable. Even if it lasts only a season, at this price I wouldn't mind getting a new one every year! I installed it myself using locally bought hardware. Be prepared for stretching! I bought the 18 foot triangle to span a 20 foot opening. Initially, eye bolts and turn buckles at each corner were sufficient to keep the sail tight. After a week of sun and rain, the sail sagged beyond what the turn buckles could absorb so I took them out. If it stretches any more, I might have to consider getting the next size smaller. On another note, this company will not ship to Hawaii or Alaska - which is dumb since its a relatively small package. I had it sent to a mainland address and they popped it in the mail for an extra $20 - still a bargain!

I recieved this item quickly and the price was very reasonable. I am only disapointed that there were no instructions or hardware.

WE have 7 of these protecting our decks and hot tub from the intense North Carolina Sun. They shade our family room windows also and help keep the hot sun out yet delivering plenty of light in the rooms.We have had them going on 5 years now wand no sign of wear. We bought the light color shades. We take them down in the winter. They are up from April to November.Ours are so big I don't want to try to put them in the washing machine. They need a cleaning now, so I think I may have to make a clothesline type of line and try to wash them on that.

I did look at the triangle shade sail for a friend, and recommended it for her needs. I based my recommendation to her on how pleased we are with the 18 square foot shade sail we ordered/purchased for our pergola. I really don't hate it, I just never bought it so don't know why this is even relevant.
