I bought this smart plug to monitor and control the energy consumption of my appliances. It was easy to set up and connect to my Wi-Fi network and smartphone app. The app allows me to see the real-time and historical power usage of each device, as well as turn them on or off remotely. Works really well, but the setup was a bit frustrating. If you add directly into Apple Home then you can't do the firmware updates, but once added into Apple Home the only way to add them into the Refoss App is to remove and re-add them. Once I worked this out they are working fine.I had one device not working reliably and reached out to the Refoss support team - they were brilliant with a response back in hours. There are two different models (not made clear in the Amazon listing, but look the same) and one model has a lower firmware version than the other. While waiting for the support response I removed and re-added it again and this solved the problem. Been using them for nearly a week now and are working great, I just tell Siri what I want to turn on or off and it does it instantly.

Arrived quickly.I had hoped to add these 4 new smart plugs to my Smart Life App as I already have 7 smart plugs on that app, but the App won't recognise these Refoss plugs.However, using the Refoss App the plugs were quickly installed and also linked to Alexa.The Refoss App is basic in its layout.Whilst you can group your WiFi plugs under the 'Scenes' tab they are not colour codes for ease of recognition and finding the Timer programming settings is not clearly labelled.The easiest to set timers is by Alexa Voice control.Compared with my other Wi-Fi Apps the Refoss App is the only one that monitors electricity usage on each plug.Overall the plugs do what's required and are reliable and can be controlled remotely by installing and using the Refoss App on Smartphone or Tablet wherever there's a mobile signal.I recently replaced storage heaters with infrared heaters on a single electricity tariff. These Wi-Fi plugs give me total control over my heating. I can switch them 'on' an 'off' or set timers for each heater without physically going near the heaters, so no stairs to climb.Another great application of the wifi plug is that I can set a timer to switch on my slow-cooker and have my meal ready when I arrive home, as well as have rooms at a comfortable temperature on arrival.At time of submitting this review this pack of 4 x Refoss plugs is competitively priced, and value for money.Because you can control and monitor electricity usage of appliances connected to the Wi-Fi plug, these plugs are definitely a good investment which I heartily recommend!

Really easy to set up and work perfectly without even having to install software

Please avoid. They simply do not work. No matter what you do. I have even created a new Wi-Fi network under 2.5Ghz to support these but there is no way to get them connected.The setup process seems easy: you install the Meross app, create or log in to your account, then scan the QR code to get them connected to Apple Home and that’s it. Well, not really.When Apple Home setup finishes and you think you’re all set, the headache starts: the Meross app shows an error message advising the plug is fully setup with Apple Home, but failed to be added to the Meross network, which means it will not work. Then an option to add it manually appears and guess what: the plug needs to be reset and the therefore the connection with Apple Home, which was successful, is lost and has to be redone. You’re back to square one and in an endless loop.I was happy to let them connected to Apple Home only, but then, once the setup gets stuck connecting the plug into their own app, the pug reboots and… Apple Home is unable to connect to it anymore.The problem is that any other device, such as Alexa or Google, can only find the plug once it’s connected to Meross app and that’s the only way.2hours later, a new Wi-Fi network setup, 2 iPhones used, lots of rebooting and reinstalling I’ve decided to return these. It’s an unnecessary headache for something that should be plug and play.I own a smart plug from Meross already and I remembered how difficult it was to setup when I first got it. I hope it never loses its configuration, because once it does, it’ll go the bin straightaway.

Just worked! Got these for lights so my mum can have lights on when on holiday, so wanted something simple.I’ve used lots of home automation stuff and it tends to be varying degrees of annoying, but this worked smoothly with HomeKit. Had them set up and running out of the box in 5 minutes. It’s only been a couple of days so far, so things may change, but all in all, good value.

Only used today, couldn't connect to WiFi extender, which more close to back of my house. But can connect to main router straight away. Bought it to use for garden light with outdoor socket. Could not close the outdoor socket cover. But it works good even it's over 10m away from router, It shows 23% strength WiFi。The on off time need set separate. Only one time slot
