Club 3D CAC-1333 HDMI 2.0 to USB Type C 4K60Hz M/F Active Adapter

I purchased this in hopes to use my Apple Studio Display with my Xbox Series S. This product essentially gives the Xbox a USB C video out. I can unplug my MacBook and plug the Studio display cable into this adapter, which is already plugged into my Xbox, and I’m ready to go. It does appear to limit the resolution to 1080p and has no audio out, but that doesn’t bother me. If you use a headset to game at your desk, this may be the solution you were looking for.

As of June 2024 this is still the cord that actually works for connecting a Nintendo Switch to a Studio Display. As others have noted, you'll get 1080p picture quality and need to use a bluetooth device for audio, but it means that you can use the screen you already have. Another reviewer said it didn't work with their Pro XDR display so be careful if that is what you are after.

Works with studio display, just NOT with a thunderbolt cable. If you use a usb 3.0 c2c cable that supports DP alt mode (good luck figuring out if that cable in your drawer actually does) then the dongle works with the studio display. Does not work with a thunderbolt cable.

Cable does exactly what it's intended. It's the only one I've found that can connect my Switch to my Studio Display, albeit without sound. NOTE: THE ADAPTOR/DONGLE DOESN'T WORK to connect to Studio Display, only the cable works to connect the two. I have mine set up with an HDMI switch to toggle between my Switch and PS4 and that works just fine. But in order to receive a signal you have to get the cable. It is a little pricey in my opinion for a standard cable, but it is also the only one that works.

The cable is physically incapable of producing 4K output since its HDMI 2.0. That type of HDMI can only go upto 1080p. You need a cable with HDMI 2.1 for 4K video + HDR capabilities. I bought this just so I'm able to leave a review for y'all.

I bought this adapter specifically to play my Nintendo Switch on my LG Ultrafine monitor, which only accepts USB-C connections. The Nintendo Switch does output 1080 video using this adapter (unlike a previous adapter I used, to which the Nintendo Switch would only output 720 video). Like the previous adapter, there's no sound, but that's fine as I just hook my headphones directly into the Switch using an extension cable. Also, not having to have external power for the adapter is great.

Works well outputting 1080p, sadly without audio. But there is definitely no 4K output.

After I bought it I was very confused that it wouldn’t work until I saw someone on Reddit point out that a lot of these one way cables are going FROM hdmi TO usb c…. The exact opposite of what most people seem to want/need.I have other Club 3D cables that are amazing, this one just wasn’t right.In fairness, the product description mentions that it isn’t compatible with USB C source…. But it also currently claims to not be compatible with HDMI source either, so I don’t know what to make of that. Those two points are listed within 3 bullet points of each other, pretty hard to be informed on the product which that kind of contradictory info.

Das Apple Studio Display hat nur einen Videoeingang mit Thunderbolt 3. Mit einem passenden HDMI Typ D auf HDMI Typ A-Kabel und diesem Adapter funktioniert die Bildübertragung von meiner Leica Q3 HDMI-Ausgang auf das Apple Studio Display. Die Auflösung ist ausreichend. Die Bezeichnung des „Adapters“ beim Lieferanten/Hersteller ist CAC-1333.

For the few people who own a XDR display, this does NOT work. I don't know what the difference is with a Studio display since some people here say it does work with that, but definitely not with the apple XDR display.

Muy difícil conseguir este tipo de adaptador, funciona bien y admite resoluciones no estándares, las estándares también hasta 4k. No he podido probar el Dolby Vision y me gustaría, no sé si mi pantalla lo está comunicando correctamente a la fuente.
