Still have no idea what it does.

My son said he needed one for our home. I have yet to understand what it really does so yeah great value for my money. Portability spot on. I guess the ease of use was easy. Great quality and versatile. Performed it's job perfectly. (Glad the prompts at the bottom of the write your review thing was there or I would never know what to write especially since I have no idea how it works)

Best meter ever

This is a great meter for the price. Actually better than priced. Even has a thermo couple, NC ac voltage and a good back light.

Great meter for the price

Excellent meter for the price.

Great multimeter

Our first multimeter got lost in transit, but we were able to receive a replacement very quickly. This is a nice multimeter that has all of the features we need, including low-voltage measurements, with great accuracy. Highly recommend!

Most features on a multimeter from a legitimate brand for the buck

UT133A: I bought this as a backup meter to keep in the house, as a backup to my Klein/UEI MM700 -- a great meter as it is when it comes to price, performance, safety, and brand reputation.Disclaimer: I'm not a professional electrician, and I don't work in the building trades. I took two years of electrical/electronic shop classes in one of the best science/engineering high schools in the United States. Today, I do some electronic hobby and DIY work, and basic home electrical work (replacing outlets and switches and the like). Nothing above 120 volts, nothing at the circuit breaker panel. I have a great respect for electricity, and know my limits.I chose the UT133A because it ticks all the boxes at a surprisingly low price; about $30. Looking for a backup meter, I wanted auto-ranging (so my wife can use it to test batteries, if she has to), all the normal functions (AC/DC volts, amps and micro/milliamps, resistance, temperature), and a known brand (not something relabeled with an awkward collection of random phonemes). UNI-T is one of the better known test equipment brands from the PRC, along with CEM and Mastech.I'm giving a five star rating, considering the price and target market. Yeah, I know, it's no Fluke / Keysight / Simpson / Gossen / whatever. I wasn't expecting a high end meter for around US$30. I'm really impressed with what I got for the money, though. VDC readings for batteries are very, very close to that I get with my Klein. The temperature readings seem close, at least according to my Klein MM and Nest thermostats. Continuity testing sounds with little delay. Construction quality seems good for the price, and it feels like it would survive a 1-2 meter drop. Leads are decent enough, and they have CAT 4 tips. (The meter rating is CAT 3.)A big shortcoming: lead sockets have no color labeling. Also, the fold-out stand has no rubber grips to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces. If I said this meter has "the most bang for the buck", well, you don't definitely want a multimeter to go "BANG!" on you. I'm not qualified to do a teardown and say "go ahead, stick the probes in a 240 volt outlet with the switch in the ohms position, it'll be okay." However, the UT133A has US ETL/Intertek certification (4007682). It has two big ceramic fuses; not cheap glass. The function knob turns with a satisfying click, and won't get knocked out of position. Until I see a contradicting review from a pro, I feel confident that this meter will be safe, as long as the function switch in the right position. Conclusion: if you're looking for a basic electronic hobbyist multimeter, or something for basic home DIY work, and aren't necessarily seeking out "buy it for life" quality, the UT133A is *fantastic* for the price. Any cheaper, and you're looking at something with a mystery brand, far fewer features, cheap build quality, or really questionable safety.
