Work on Radxa Zero 3W if you can mod it

I used this on my Radxa Zero 3W. I had to grind off a bit of the aluminum on the USB C connector to fit as well as add a bit more padding as it is a bit too high for Radxa Zero 3W. Overall, it brings my Radxa Zero 3W down by 5 degree on idle.

It's okay.

This one will do it's job, but it's pretty bare bones. I chose this one over the other options because of the taller hestsink fins, but now that it's assembled, I really wish I'd gone for one with a bottom plate. The board clears the desk by 1-2mm on the included nuts, but it's definitely unprotected. It'll work for now, but I'll likely replace it sooner than later.

Good Cover, But May Interfere With Hats – Extender Recommended

Excellent overall. May interfere with hats—an extender would help. Unless you’re overclocking or dealing with heat, the heatsink isn’t strictly necessary, but it does provide a clean look by covering the top of the board.

heat sink comments

I put this heat sink on a Pi Zero W (no pins, V1.1 2017 silkscreened on it), and had to rework the shims.First, the SOC/CPU gap was measured around 0.040" with feeler gages. The provided heat sink is shown as 1mm, but measured 0.030.Found some copper sheet stock (recycling bin win!) that was 0.040... snipped off a 0.50" x 0.50" square pounded it flat (sorta - little wet sandpaper showed a slight bowing and calipers read 0.042 when I was done) and it fits with a tiny tiny bit of rocking when dry installed.Next challenge is the tiny ethernet/bluetooth chip... think i'll sandwich the plastic heat sink material around a chip of the 0.40 copper. No idea the offset/gap for te other Pi Zero models.

Does the job at the right price

I have my Pi attached to a WaveShare PoE hat, which is great because I can run my Pi with only a single cable being connected. However, the PoE hat produces a decent amount of heat. This heatsink became an essential add-on to ensure my Pi stays cool and functional. I opted to use the copper plate and thermal paste, and I've had a SUBSTANTIAL drop in temps (PiHole reports ~42c now instead of ~60+). Well worth it for the price and options that come with this kit.

Fits perfect and very effective

I ran a 30 second, 8 thread, stress test on each unit in the same case design. 17c cooler with the heatsink. The case has air openings but no fans. Overall 10C cooling would be expected. But this one out performs expectations.

Keeps Pi 02W cool

Perfect fit, includes thermal pads. If you’re gonna run a Raspberry Pi hard you’ll need a heat sink to maintain good performance.

Great heatsink

More effective than the typical little square stickon heatsinks, and it protects one side of the Pi at the same time. The exposed back isn't any worse than the open cases I used to run due to overheating issues, particularly on the un-air-conditioned boat. No issues with corrosion yet.
