Puma SGB Hunter's Friend Brown Jigged Bone Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath

First of all, I have four Puma knives....all made in Germany.Thought I'd buy a Puma SGB, assembled in China, using German materials.Big mistake!All my Puma knives from Germany are crafted with pride.This SGB, crafted in China is not crafted at all...it's just assembled, no craftsmanship.Bone handle is cracked at one rivet point to the back of the scale....scales aren't even touching the tang in places....you can see daylight between the scales and tang.I can squeeze the scales with my fingers to close the gap......No quality control whatsoever......This knife should have never been released from the factory.Very, very disappointed.....waste of money.Shipping was supper fast, so no blame to the seller......only to the manufacturer, and their shoddy product.

The German steel blade is excellent but the Chinese workmanship leaves something to be desired. One of the handle pins sticks out so far that you could cut yourself on it and the Puma logo on the handle is crooked. This wasn’t a cheap knife and I will not buy another SGB model.Follow-up. I was promptly contacted by the seller who offered my choice of a replacement knife or a 15% refund. I chose the refund and it was quickly applied to my account. I will fix the knife. Good service.

The Knife scales were not properly fitted to the tang. There is a gap that can be seen with the naked eye. I am really disappointed with the product. It should have never left the factory like that or maybe I was sold a factory second by unscrupulous seller. Either way it was not assembled properly.... so buyer beware.

Perfect utility do all knife. Thick,sharp handy knife for taking meat off bones. Offers good grip and blade control even with greasy slippery meat. It also looks great.
