1hr to Charge 8 AA Batteries is AMAZING!
I work as an independent filmmaker and have tons of gear that needs batteries. Specifically my audio gear is eating up AA all day long. The sound recorder takes 8 AA inside and each wireless Transmitter and Receiver use 4 each. So 8 for the recorder and 16 for the 4 wireless systems. Even with the 2800mha batteries, they won't last a whole shooting day, so it's best to replace in the middle of the day or so. (Lunch)This charger just hammers the juice back into the batteries faster than any other charger I've seen. In fact, I was producing a feature and hired a sound guy. The poor guy kept going back to his 4 Battery charger to see if his batteries were charged. After I saw him panicked, I asked him if he needed help. He was worried about running out of batteries for his wireless units. I happened to have my charger and took it out. Popped his batteries in and in less than 30 mins they were charged. He was amazed. Couldn't believe how fast this thing was. He certainly took the name down and I bet he bought one the next day.Pros:FAST Charger (not many others out there that charge this fast. Some say fast but they do 2-3hrs. This baby is fast)8 Bays (the ability to charge 8 batteries at a time is super helpful)Individual Bays (you don't need to charge 2 at a time as some older chargers needed)Soft Charge (with the soft charge feature you are able to recondition batteries that were fully discharged and bring them back to life)Removable power cord. (I see some chargers that have power cords that can't be removed. Harder to store that way)Cons:LCD display is weak, no backlight and hard to see at certain angles. Would be nice to have a much better display. Not a fan of the curvy nature of the design. Would rather have something square that was easier to store and stack.Price (can't complain too much as I'm sure the electronics are more expensive to be able to charge fast. and well worth the money for the speed)The Pros completely outweigh the Cons. This is a very good charger and I highly recommend it. I bought it so long ago, I couldn't even see it on my order history so I wasn't able to be a verified buyer, but all these years and it's still working fine. I don't use it all the time, only when I have a film shoot. In fact I'm replenishing my AA supply of rechargeable batteries. I'm buying (24) AA 2800mha from Soxono and was thinking about buying another one of these so I could charge 16 at a time, but truth is that it charges fast enough that it's not needed. Specially since I'll have about 48 batteries in total. I can charge them all the night before and can probably go the entire day without needing to charge.Hope this helped someone on the fence about getting this expensive but powerful charger. If you need the speed, it's totally worth it.

Pssshhh yeah. It's a lifesaver!
This thing rocks. Plain and simple. I am a professional photographer that goes through batteries like none other. With several off camera flash (580EXII) and a AA magazine for my battery pack it's safe to say that I've spent almost as much in batteries in the last 5 years than I have in some of my other gear. So when I wised up and started buying rechargeable batteries I was happy at last...till they wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few snaps. So, I just threw them in a drawer somewhere and just thought I would use them for remotes some time in the future. Then along came this little jewel...The first thing I did when I received it was to check it out to make sure it was reading power correctly. It was. My new eneloops read 100% charge. Then I read the instructions. What what?! These things purge batteries and recycles them. Idea! Check the batteries in the drawer that I had forgotten about a couple months back. BAM! It purged the batteries and in a matter of about 14 hours (I think) it recharged them, purged them again to train them, and recharged them again. Now, they're all working at 100%. Now that's what I'm talking about!!! I won't have to buy batteries for a while to come! Also, there are some added features with this charger. You can charge a single battery as well as 8. You can choose to do a fast or slow charge as well. For this reason I pack it in my bag to weddings and events just in case I need it or my second shooters need it for whatever reason. And the one thing I LOVE about this? I can mix and match any and all brands that I have. So say you've got 1 energizer, 4 eneloops, 2 rayovac, and 1 whatever else, you can charge them all without worry and eliminate the other, smaller, chargers that come with the batteries. This thing is a lifesaver. It has become a staple in my bag and on my desk and I highly recommend it!!!Now...if they just made one for camera batteries...
