Ecolink Intelligent Technology Earth Magnets Door/Window Sensor 2 Pack, White/Brown (DWZWAVE2.5-ECO-2)

Not fun being awakened at 4:30 in the morning to my iPhone's loudest alarm. The message tells me my LR slider has been triggered. Sixty seconds later another message telling me my Piper NV central unit has detected a loud noise. Ok, I surmise that the burglar has tried the sliding glass door, seen it is "locked" (with the usual flimsy SGD hook/lock) combined with a stick placed in the door's track, preventing opening, and then he smashed the glass to gain entry. I waste half an hour calling our Sheriff to go check our doors, await his call back that all is fine, no doors opened. I wonder how the neighbors liked the alarm waking them. Oh well.I ended up having at least 5 false triggers from this Ecolink sensor over the past seven days, but only the first of which involved our County Sheriff. I had a friend check the sensor to make sure it hadn't fallen off. Nope, still there, but sending false opening/triggering signals to the Piper NV central unit. New"ish" sensor and battery (both about 7 mo. old) shouldn't do this. DO NOT BUY!I'll pull this sensor off and replace it with another manufacturer's. The problem is I have TWO more of this Ecolink brand. Anybody want a cheap sensor??? <crickets>
