Restored hair lost from rare mange
I work at an animal shelter. We received a puppy that was found in an abandoned house. The poor puppy was suffering from one of the worst forms of mange. He had already lost about 20% of his hair. He was treated with very strong mange dip upon arrival and put on a rich diet with a vitamin supplement. After the risk of major infection had passed we started applying Particular Paws balm on all the affected areas. Particular Paws does use some ingredients that are the best for pampering inflamed skin. Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, and Grape Seed Oil, all have nourishing properties that promote skin cell renewal which is exactly what you want when trying to get a do to recover from mange. Cured the scaly tail issue my chow suffered from!
I have a very furry Chow Chow named Buster. Unfortunately Buster had a fungal issue that led to his tail losing almost all its hair and getting scaly with dry skin. The vet said the hair would grow back in time but I was not convinced that the fungus had been killed completely because he just kept gnawing and itching until I put an Elizabethan collar on him so he could not reach. Of course wearing the collar made him absolutely miserable. While the collar was on, I started applying Particular Paws to the scaly areas with a soft cloth twice per day. Although Buster had to wear the collar for two weeks, Particular Paws replenished his skin and all the scales were gone within a week. By week two Buster had the fuzzy beginnings of tail hair starting to appear again. It has been a few months now and the fungal issue is still gone and Buster now has a respectable looking tail again. It will take a bit longer to reach it's former glory but he is well on his way.

Aggressive flies were making my horses miserable!
Particular Paws Balm not only heals but it keeps flies away so that they don't cause a ton of bites or draw blood. I put this on my horses noses and it keeps a lot of insects from harassing them while they are eating. I no longer have to worry about scratches and cuts not healing fast because this stuff works wonders on small to medium cuts and scrapes. Horse products are often overpriced but this balm is priced right. Please make sure that horse owners know that they can use this product as well! This is by far the best healing balm I have found for preventing scarring and fast tracking the healing process. We are excited to see our horses actually able to enjoy themselves in the pasture rather than being tortured by the insects. I will always keep several jars of this balm around for my horses during the spring and summer months. My wife uses the balm on her cat who gets flaky skin and it seems to work better than what the vet gave her for the problem.

Antibiotics are great things when you need them but they get used too much for minor things so they don't work as well as they once did. I use Particular Paws on minor scrapes and scratches and it does a great job healing and preventing infection. Everyone in my household has used this balm.

up date
I'm reposting this because the balm never had a change to do it's job, my dog kept licking it off of her nose, so it couldn't do what it was made to do. I did however get a email from the company suggesting to mix it with a little lemon juice or other bitter tasting flavor to stop the licking. From what I read of the other reviews the product works great and it probably does but right now, she is being treated by the vet. I will say however it has a very pleasant smell, and it's easy to apply, I just wish I tried the bitter tasting idea first, I could of saved a trip to the vet. The company contacted me quickly and offered suggestions which I really appreciate, because good customer service is so rare now days. I give 5 stars because I didn't really get a chance to fully use the product the way it is intended, and the quick response form the manufacturer.

It helped so much we are so happy
For some reason the incision on my female cat was larger than usual when she got spayed. I was not happy about this because it was obvious that it was going to take longer for her to heal and get back to playing with the other cats. After a week of letting it heal on its own I started using Particular Paws on it once a day. I kept a collar on her that would not allow her to lick or scratch at the site. Most spayed cats have a small scar but with the use of Particular Paws she healed with no scar and got back to playing with the other cats much faster than I expected. Thank you for making a product that got us through this surgery without a big hassle. This definitely helped her heal faster. I would recommend this to any owner that is trying to get their pet through a difficult healing process. It helps the hair start coming back sooner than usual as well.

Great product, tube was a little trouble.
Update: I took the product that came out of the tube and put it into another container so I could continue use and it did a fantastic job on all I explained to know.So bummed, a failure with the tube has caused me to lose almost half of the product as it fell out of the tube and also, the tube would not turn back down. It's no longer safe to put on wounds. I came here to leave my warning and find it's unavailable to order. So, my search for a replacement product beings all over again.The scent and I can tell by my dog's reaction taste is not pleasant but nothing a little treat doesn't fix.That said, this stuff definitely sped up healing. Better than any other balm I'd tried. It's very moisturizing. The balm gets more loose and malleable when it's rubbed between fingers or sits on the skin just by body heat. If your dog has a habit of rubbing their faces on your blankets or you are putting this on paws just be aware there are oils in this. I've not had any of the oils stain anything it's come into contact with though.My dog has ingested some of the product due to it's placement on her face and it has never made her sick and a small treat to help clear her taste buds worked OK.Really bummed I have to move onto something else.
