I love how this feels and looks like blow-dried natural hair! its super soft!I used it for crochet and it looks very natural. But it definitely does not work with a flat iron, will burn off the hair. I used a blow drier on low to straighten it and it worked fine. Did not try to curl it though. It does tangle and shed a lot once its straightened. I got the 4 packs and used it to do crochet, kept the length as is, didn't cut it in half or anything and I needed way more than the 4 packs. Especially with crochet, if you're going to do straight crochet, you want the hair to be very full or else the corn rows will show. I recommend starting in the front first, that way you can always hide the back if its not enough. Going to get it again and not straighten it this time.If you leave as is without straightening it, it comes out very full and might be too big for you. So making it straignth with a blow dryer makes it smaller and easier to handle.

I love this hair...especially for crochet. Many people use it for jumbo braid, but I have also used it to copy the style on the package. The other reviews mentioned you cannot flat iron this hair because it will burn. That is true...if you set the iron too hot. I have lowered the heat/temperature on the iron and have flat ironed it without any problem. Depending on how it is maintained, it can tangle but is easily detangled. It may "shed", but it could be because I am not a professional stylist. It is definitely worth the money!
