Feedback Sports Flop Stop Handlebar Holder

I purchased this because it seemed to suit my needs...my and my wife's old school MTBs have exterior top tube cables and the Park Tools HBH-2 seems to exclude our bikes.Upon receipt, the tool seemed to work but the rubber retention straps barely secured the seat tube and handlebar. Almost immediately the head of one of the ends popped out. It is a river pressed along with two split washers and there is no ability to tighten it otherwise adjust the connection.I considered drilling and screwing the head in place but instead purchased the Park Tools HBH-2. I'm happy to report that the HBH-2 is flexible enough in it's application that I made it work with all of our bikes.This tool is not quite ready for prime time.

I don't write many reviews anymore but, this time I need to write about this great little tool. I have been looking for a stand to hold up my 70 lb ebike and have found nothing that works for under $200.00. This stick does it! My bike stand is in the way when I turn the pedals to clean and oil the chain. I have had to lean it against a wall to do the work on the chain and can it easily fall over. I tried a small bike stand but it was too light for this heavy bike. Today, I got the Flopstick and it worked out great! It is versatile and can be used to prop up the bike by clamping to the seat post and then putting the other end to the ground but I went one better. I hooked the rubber snubber end to the seat post and the other straight out to the post holding up my sat dish in the yard. Bam! I was able to rotate the chain to clean and lube while the bike was held securely in place. This cheap tool is great and just saved my alot on having to buy a stand. Nice!

The Flop Stop does the job it's designed to do ... there's no arguing that. Unfortunately the material it's made from is just acceptable. It's showing wear after limited use and I'm not convinced it will last as long as it should, especially at this price. You're definitely paying for the brand name here. Given the lackluster materials and high price I can't give this product the full five stars ... three and a half or four seems more reasonable.

Value for your monies a little awkward. The conception of the idea is very good. The material / rivet used to hold the ends on could have been better. I bought an insert with threads in it and some super glue and fix the problem. Now it's a five star

I bought this product so that I could easily walk my bike during certain parts of my commute without having to focus on keeping the front wheel straight. Flop Stop does the trick for a reasonable price. It is easy to install and its adjustability provides a universal fit. Similar products on the market (like SteerStop for example) cost $100-120 and might not fit all bikes.TL;DR: 5 stars. Flop Stop works well.

The name “flop stopper” might sound like some late-night male vitality snake oil, but the tool itself is very useful. This will keep your handlebars rigid which is very nice when propping your bike on a clamp style mechanic stand or traveling while using a bike rack that doesn’t secure the handlebars very well. I prefer this over to Park Tool’s variant because it’s just one telescoping rod while Park Tool’s is too wide and more cumbersome to use.

The knob to tighten the stick length in place is too small to get a strong hold on it, or the screw should be different.I bought this for working on my bikes on my repair stand but it is also very handy when my bike is on the hitch rack heading to a ride. The stick's job is the same as when on the bike stand. However, because the crank handle is only big enough to use fingertips, not a hand, and that the screw is basic metal in metal, not rubberized to apply increased pressure, it loosens a bit over time and when I arrive at my destination my wheel has turned a few inches. Now I use bungees as a secondary.

After a couple uses, I had the same issue as others. The screw shaft breaks loose from the top of it. Strips out. I was able to get mine working by using a pair of needle nose pliers and can still use this, but have to be super careful about not overtightening it.I would not recommend due to this issue.

IDEAL IF YOU WANT TO PUSH YOUR BIKE UP STAIRS, AS WELL AS WHEN YOUR WORKING ON YOUR BIKE. IVE OWNED ONE FOR OVER 15 YEARS, IVE NOW GOT THREE SO YOU CAN TRUST THEY ARE VERY GOOD AND VERY HANDY.

Ich habe mich nach etwas längeren auseinandersetzen im Bezug auf eine Lenkerhalterung mich entschlossen, diese hier zu kaufen um arbeiten an meinem Fahrradmontageständer zu verrichten. Wer kennt es nicht du machst was am lenker, er schlägt nach Rechts, dann nach Links.... alles nur am nerven.Zur Auswahl standen folgende Fixierungen:Parktool "Lenkerhaltebügel HBH-2"Feedback "Sports Lenkerhalter Flop Stop"Die Qualität von Parktool mag ja gut sein, was man auch anhand von den Rezensionen erkennen kann (und ja ich lese auch die Negativen, weil die teilweise aussagekräftiger sind als so manch andere). Das ganz große Manko kommt aber nun! Die Lenkerfixierung ist nicht universal einsetzbar, soll heißen nur für bestimmte Rahmen von Fahrrädern, also die die keinen niedrigen Einstieg haben.UPS! Was nun machen wenn man ein Fully hat, und zwei Treckingräder, es muss was anderes her.Nun da kam mir diese Lenkerfixierung in Frage, eine verstellbare Stange, und an jedem Ende ein Gummiband mit verschiedenen Haltepunkten. Ist bisschen günstiger.. Rezensionen durchgelesen, auch die Negativen, es wurde u.a sich beschwerrt darüber das da Plastikgewinde Schrott sei.. dazu aber gleich mehr.Bestellt, geliefert, angewendet,, überrascht, sehr zufrieden! Unabhängig vom Rad Typ kann ich den Lenker mit der Sattelstange fixieren und es reicht allemale aus.Kommen wir mal nun zum technischen Teil ("Jammern auf hohem Niveau"):Die Verstellung ist relativ simpel, man zieht das Gummiband an beiden Enden aus der Halterung, spannt das Gummiband um die Sattelstütze, dann löst man die Feststellschraube, zieht die Stange aus und danach am lenker Fixieren. UND NUN BITTE AUFPASSEN, mit GEFÜHL sollte man die Schraube festdrehen, man braucht keine Mordsgewalt, zum nachjustieren ggf leicht lösen, Lenker ausrichten erneut festdrehen.Und wer ein bisschen Handwerkermäßig drauf ist, kann sich so eine Buchse auch einfach selber drehen und sich ein Gewinde hineinschneiden, die Justierschraube auch kein Problem, Stück Gewindestange von einer Schraube nehmen, kleinen Kugelkopf oder Sechskantkopf draufschrauben (vorher n bisschen Loctite Gewindekleber drauf tun) und fertig ist die Kiste. Wer noch weiter gehen kann, kann sich so ein teil auch ggf selbst bauen.Zugegeben man hätte die Buchse echt aus Metall machen können, oder auch ein Metallgewinde hätte man hineinpressen können, so kann man noch fester zudrehen, aber für einfache Arbeiten sollte dies völlig reichen, meiner Meinung nach.Fazit: Die Lenkerfixierung ist zu empfehlen!Für ein Hilfreich wäre ich sehr dankbar, für alle Fragen und Hinweise, einfach unter der Rezension ein Kommentar schreiben****************UPDATE*********************Der Fixierungshalter kam oftmals bei mir bis jetzt zum Einsatz (2x großer Umbau an Rädern, und dann ein Rad zur Reparatur) und etliche kleine Einsätze. Fantastik function! Exactly what I expected!

Ideal accompaniment to a bike stand

Ich hatte mir zuerst nur den Feedback-Montageständer gekauft. Da drehte sich das Vorderrad immer nach hinten weg . Das war kein Arbeiten und die Kabelabdichtungen am Rahmen wurden immer rausgezogen. Nur eine Frage der Zeit,bis mir dabei eine Leitung abreißt.Der Lenkerhalter läßt sich mittels einer Fixierschraube und 2 Gummhalterungen mühelos montieren und hält das Vorderrad in seiner geraden Position. Die Fixierschraube könnte sich wegen dem Kunststoffinnengewinde zum Schwachpunkt entwickeln, wurde hier aber schon beschrieben...Ich bin also vorgwarnt und werde die Schraube mit "Samthandschuhen" anziehen......Falls sich diesbezüglich was ergibt, werde ich das hier gegebenenfalls vortragen.Im Moment bin ich mit dem Halter recht zufrieden.
