Q: Do chain links rust outdoors?

The chain is made of stainless steel and will not rust

Q: Are these glass or plastic? Some reviews say glass, others plastic, and one says it fell 7' onto tile and did not break (indicating plastic).

The ones I have are either a very heavy plastic or a glass. When I feel them I can’t tell but when I click two pieces together they sound like glass. I wouldn’t swear one way or the other, though. They are faceted and catch the light really well and sparkle and throw prisms, at least in my south facing room. I put one over a ceiling mount and it dressed it up tremendously. They are good for the price but don’t expect Swarovski level. It’s my chandelier on a budget.

Q: How does one wash these crystals?

If need be, soaking in soapy water or a blend of water and Windex, then rinsing would do the trick. They are not fragile.
