If you are a beginner to Android and you know some Java concepts then this book is definitely for you. It starts with the very basic concepts of Android, from downloading and installing Android Studio and takes you through the concepts like Activity, Layout, Intents, Sqlite database, etc. This book doesn't cover Google maps. There are also projects in this book. This book covers Android Studio 2.3 but you can work with this book using Android Studio 3.2 and above as I have also worked with this book using Android Studio 3.2. I really liked the book.

The book is easily one of the best for learning android app development. Despite being a used book it's just like new without any tear or damage to the pages. I would suggest to go for this seller for books.

This is the best book to learn Android Development. I Suggest you to clear the concepts of Java and then go for this book by doing this you can make most of it. Head First series is best for the beginners to clear the concepts of the technology in easier way. I suggest you to go for this book if you want to make your Carrier in Android Development.

Price is a little high

The contents of the book is good. But, I did not receive the original book. It was a copy(Black & White). Return and ordered a new one. Hoping to receive the original book this time.

O livro é muito bom pra quem está começando. Os autores trabalham as explicações com pequenos projetos, o que na minha opinião, é a melhor forma de se aprender um conteúdo.

趣味でAndroidアプリを作成して公開しています。過去に日本語のAndroidアプリ開発の本を何冊か読んでいましたが、Android 4.4くらいまでを対象とした古い本ばかりでした。そこで今回、Android 7までを対象とした新しい本を読んでみようと思って購入しました。新しいレイアウトのConstraint Layoutなどがちゃんと紹介されています。また、他の本ではあまり触れられないAndroid RuntimeやAndroid Debug Bridgeについて紹介されているのはおもしろいと思いました。とはいえ、コンテントプロバイダやSurfaceViewなどが紹介されていないように、この本一冊でAndroidアプリ開発のすべてをカバーできているわけではありません。構成については、ストーリーに沿っていくつかのサンプルを作成しながら、Androidのビュー、アクティビティ、フラグメントを勉強するというものになっています。網羅系や逆引き系ではないので、初級者には取り掛かりやすい構成です。一方、高度なことは詳細まで書いていないので、上級者はAndroidの公式ドキュメントを読むのがいいと思います。
