A Must-Have for Outdoor Adventures and Backup Power!
I couldn’t be happier with the GENMAX GM2800iSAC! I bought it for camping trips and to use as an emergency backup generator, and it’s honestly been a game-changer.What I Love About It:⚡ Plenty of Power – This little generator has more than enough juice to run my 5,000 BTU AC, lights, and all my small electronics (phone, laptop, etc.) simultaneously without breaking a sweat. The clean inverter power means I can run sensitive devices with zero worries about damage.🎒 Super Portable – Weighing only 45 lbs, I can easily carry it from the car to the campsite. The handle is solid and makes it easy to transport, even when it’s fully fueled.🔇 Surprisingly Quiet – It’s definitely quieter than traditional generators! We were able to have normal conversations standing right next to it. It’s not “silent,” but for the power it provides, it’s impressively quiet.⛽ Great Fuel Efficiency – The runtime is awesome! I’ve been getting around 6–8 hours on a single gallon of gas at partial load. That’s perfect for longer camping trips or power outages without constantly needing to refuel.🛡️ Awesome Safety Features – The CO Detect sensor gives me peace of mind when using it indoors or in semi-enclosed spaces like the garage. I love that it automatically shuts off if unsafe CO levels are detected.Final Thoughts:For the price, this generator punches well above its weight. It’s powerful, portable, and built with safety in mind. Whether you're camping, tailgating, or just want some peace of mind during power outages, this generator is a fantastic choice. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase—highly recommend it!

This generator is a beast. It has saved me during two weather events
I bought this generator 2 years ago. I selected it as its an inverter generator with nearly 8000 continuous running watts and a 50 amp plug (don’t buy any generator that does not have this plug type). I wanted a generator that would run my whole house including one 3 ton air conditioner. 2 years later it was put to the test twice in 45 days.A couple of hints and tips on setting this generator up for whole home use. I have a large home and I have a device that tracks my average and max electricity watts used. The device is a Emporia Home Energy Monitor Smart Home Energy Monitor. With my pool equipment turned off my home uses ~6000k avg with one 3 ton air conditioner on. So the continuous watts on this generator has my use case covered (why spend $20k on generac?).To hook this up to my home I did the following and you can look up how to complete each step on youtube.1. I installed a new 50 amp breaker in my main panel2. I ran a heavy gauge wire from that new breaker to 50 Amp Generator Power Inlet Box on the outside of my house Amazon.com: Rophor 50 Amp Generator Power Inlet Box, NEMA SS2-50P for 3 Prong Generator Cord, 125/250 Volt, 12500 Watts, Weatherproof, Outdoor Use, ETL Listed : Patio, Lawn & Garden3. I installed an interlock kit (a bunch of videos on youtube will explain what an interlock kit is and its use. Basically its for safety and easy to install)4. On my AC that I plan to use during a power outages I installed a Micro – Air Easystart (again search youtube and learn why you need this. But without it your generator will likely not be able to turn on any large AC due to something called the “initial inrush” of electricity when an AC starts up.)5. Finally, I bought a 50 Amp NEMA 14-50p Generator CordBasically this DIY setup allows me to plug my generator directly into the new 50 amp breaker in my main panel and power everything in my break box (again I turn off my pool pumps and one run one AC when using the generator but everything else is on)In May 2024 my house power went out for 109 hours straight due to a storm. I ran this generator for all 109 hours continuously. No breaks and I did not shut it down once even when refilling it. This unit holds approximately 7 gallons of gas which for me lasted 10 hrs before refilling. My average watts used was ~6000 continuous so it was under heavy load the whole time. It never had any issues at all. My biggest issue was toting 5 gallon gas cans around (I have 7 five gallon cans).I changed the oil and washed the air filter after using it.In July 2024, luck would have it a hurricane hit, and I lost power for 90 straight hours. I turned it on during the end of hurricane and ran it for 90 hours straight with the AC on the whole time. Not one hiccup. It’s a beast and if you live in hurricane territory in the US and don’t want to pay Generac an amount equal to a new small car then I recommend this.

No support from Amazon or Manufacturer
My Genmax 1200i was delivered yesterday. The packaging was in good condition. The generator was securely packed. Everything was in the box that was listed. I added oil and gas. It started I believe on the 3rd pull. Ran great with the eco on and off. Plugged in some test devices. It shut off after about an hr. Checked the oil- good. Checked the gas- good. Made sure the gas was turned on, I'm old, I forget lol. Started right up. Would run 15 min - 2 hrs and shut off. Contacted Amazon for product support. They referred me to the manufacturer after some stupid unrelated questions from their customer service. Contacted the manufacturer. Waiting........... I will update when or if anyone gets back to me. Right now I suggest you not buy a generator from Amazon. They don't care.Update: Still no response from manufacturer. I have not been able to talk to a live person, only leave messages.Update: It's been 4 days I didn't hear from the manufacturer. Called Amazon again 1st person transferred me, 2nd hung up after telling me nothing they could do. I called back, transferred. I was given a different number for the manufacturer. I finally got a real person. They are going to send me a new CO sensor. Nothing as of today. I guess I'm on my own.Received nothing. 3/26/2024I suggest no one buy a generator from Amazon. They don't allow returns on any generator. You have a 50/50 chance of getting a generator that works. I can't afford them odds. I'm still able to charge my batteries, sometimes for 10 minutes sometimes I get an hr+. That's unacceptable. Will not run! This has been a piece of sh*t since day 1.
