9 of 9 Cichlids DEAD!!! Plastic leached into water after a few month... PICS!!!
9 out of 9 cichlids DEAD! I really wanted to like this Holey Rock and I purchased 3 pieces for my 50 gallon. It clouded the water for a few days when initially placed into my aquarium, but cleared up nicely after a few days running my Aquaclear 110 gallon filter. After a few months, all of a sudden little bits of the plastic started to flake off and fall onto my substrate. I assume my 9 cichlids may have eaten, nibbled, and ingested these toxins as they all died quickly thereafter. Check out my pictures I took this morning, as this should not happen to any product you place into an aquarium...
