Music to recover from a computer crash by
Seriously. Even as Windows was glaring balefully back at me from a low-res desktop without any of my favorite icons, even as my modem refused to reinstall -- how bad could it be, when I had groovy music like this going in the background?I got this collection after my local jazz station played a track from it. I'd barely heard of any of the artists but I've since looked up a couple of them individually and bought their CDs. I'm surprised they aren't much more widely known and played, considering how good they are!

Music good-- words, well gotta speak the language.
Unfortunately, some of Putumayo,s music CD's are in the the language of the culture and we miss a lot of the meaning. It's not always clear when this is the case from the reviews. Anyway, when I do understand both (or most of both) I am enriched beyond belief as the usually have incredible compilations with chosen selections that are unmatched by any other. I guess I'll have to just learn more languages.

My brother sent me this CD and I loved it. Cool jazz for relaxing to. I am used to the old style (Charlie Mingus etc) but I enjoyed this too..
