I love this thing, I have big expensive incubators and I wanted to try A cheap incubator when I saw it I expected two chicks out of 8 eggs two my surprise I got a 100 percent hatch rate I was shocked that a incubator for 36 dollars would work like this. Then I tried again, guess what not one died again! I thought this was crazy such a cheap incubator that worked so well I even put some eggs in it for lockdown and it did well to. You got to get this thing.

Im giving this four stars because you need to get better cords than what is sent with the purchase. The hatcher would not read correct temp or stop randomly beeping until I bought better cords. I bought 2 hatcheries because I have 12 duck eggs. These will not fit 12 duck or chicken eggs regardless of what the information tells you; HOWEVER, the hatcheries are doing their job. I candle every few days. My babies will be hatching in 3 days. I only have 4 of the 12 that are promising. Both hatchers have a promising egg in them, so I know its not the hatchery. Some of my eggs were either not fertilized or rotted. That is the reason for their lack of progression. With duck eggs its best to mist them with cool water during 30 minute cooling period( this is the point where you would turn off the hatchery) at day 10 of incubation to mimic the mother leaving the eggs to find food then returning to them with wet feathers to sit. I am able to mist them while sitting directly in the incubator without damaging the led lights inside. There is also no way for the little guys to drowned in any left over water for the humidity chamber after hatching. These things have definately done their job. The rest is up to the babies in a few days!

Did its purpose, very easy to use. Definitely a good purchase, just no longer needed it.

This was a good little incubator for the first 18 days of my chicks eggs, but the humidity levels are nearly impossible to control or read with this so... my little egg (only 1/5 made it to hatch) had a bit of a time trying to hatch due to the humidity levels being off. This is for smaller eggs too... not sure how my bigger eggs/chicks would have faired... my little one is a small chick but can't stand up fully. It was good for a quick cheep incubator, but I will invest in a better/taller/humidity controlled one next time. Alarms do work if temperature gets off track (which you can set the range), however it quickly overheats when it "warms back up" so you have to crack the lid a little to stabilize it.

Could be a great product but missing pieces, missing the sponge that holds water for humidity

We bought this for our first incubator to try to hatch silkie chicks! It has been great! We’ve been able to hatch 3 chicks so far! This incubator beeps when the temp is not right so you can adjust and when a chick is inside moving around so you know when one has hatched! Great for a small hobbyist who just wants to hatch a few chicks.

Works as advertised!!!
